Golden Standards Company LLC

Golden Standards Company LLC Kidney “Stuff”™ supplements support overall kidney health and function naturally. At Golden Standards we have a passion for "Health Through Nutrition."

We are a small, family-owned business that began in 2010. Our business arose out of a need to help family members whose health was rapidly deteriorating. We found through research, education, and testing that nutritional foods are the best foundation for improving health. The well-being of every cell in our body depends on the nutrition we feed it and how well we hydrate it. That's why we formulat

ed "Kidney Stuff" as a high quality, non-GMO, food-based product. The ingredients in our products undergo rigorous testing standards and are manufactured in an FDA-registered and approved facility, using cGMP standards*. This ensures purity, safety, and nutritional efficacy. We believe supplementation with food-based products like "Kidney Stuff" is very beneficial for overall kidney function and encourage our customers to add plant-based organic foods (kale, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, fresh fruit, etc.) to their everyday diet for improvement of health. Our goal is to bring you the highest quality products available. We value each and every one of our customers and the opportunity to make the world a happier, healthier place. Thank you for trying our product; may God bless you on your journey towards better health through nutrition.

🦠 YOUR KIDNEYS HAVE A GUT FEELING.

Okay… maybe your kidneys don't literally have feelings. 😉 But the gut–kidney connection is becoming an increasingly interesting area of research. Your digestive tract is home to trillions of microorganisms. What you eat can influence those microbes—and the substances they produce.

One area researchers are especially interested in is dietary fiber. Certain fibers are fermented by gut microbes, producing compounds such as short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Researchers are investigating how these microbial metabolites may interact with inflammation, metabolism, the intestinal barrier and kidney health.

And there's another fascinating piece: CKD can affect the gut microbiome, too. That means the relationship isn't simply: food → gut → kidneys. It's much more interconnected than that. Recent research is looking closely at how changes in the gut microbiome may influence gut-derived metabolites in people with CKD.

Here's the important part: This does NOT mean everyone with CKD should simply "eat more fiber." Kidney nutrition is personal. Your CKD stage, lab values, medications and individual potassium, phosphorus, protein and fluid needs all matter.

So rather than chasing the latest "kidney superfood," we're interested in something bigger, and that's understanding how the pieces fit together because your kidneys don't exist in isolation.

🌱 Food
🦠 Gut microbiome
🔥 Inflammation
🩸 Blood chemistry
🧬 Metabolism
💚 Kidney health

The more we learn, the more fascinating the whole picture becomes. That's why we'll keep bringing you the research—not just the headlines.

Follow along with Golden Standards as we continue exploring nutrition, emerging kidney research and practical ways to become more informed about your kidney health. *Educational content only. Always discuss individual dietary changes with your healthcare professional or renal dietitian.

You don't have to change your entire life overnight. Sometimes, the most meaningful progress comes from checking in with yourself each day.

Here's a 5-minute, daily kidney check-in practice:

💧 Did I hydrate according to my healthcare provider's recommendations?
🥗 Did I make one nourishing food choice today?
🚶 Did I move my body in a way that felt good?
💊 Did I take my medications and supplements as directed?
🧘 Did I take a few moments to care for my mental and emotional well-being?

Remember...

This isn't about perfection. It's about creating small, consistent habits that support your overall health over time. Even if you can only check off one or two today, that's still progress.

Your kidneys may be small, but their impact is anything but. Many people think chronic kidney disease only affects the kidneys. The truth? Your kidneys are part of an incredible team that works around the clock to help keep your entire body in balance.

Healthy kidneys play an important role in:

❤️ Supporting heart health and healthy blood pressure
🦴 Helping maintain strong bones through vitamin D activation and mineral balance
🩸 Producing signals that help your body make red blood cells
⚡ Supporting healthy nerve and muscle function by helping regulate electrolytes
💧 Managing fluid balance throughout the body

When kidney function changes, other parts of the body can be affected too—which is why taking a whole-body approach to your health matters.

At Golden Standards CO., we believe kidney wellness isn't just about one organ. It's about nourishing your body as a whole through informed nutrition, healthy habits, movement, stress management, and working closely with your healthcare team.

💙 What's one healthy habit you've added that's made you feel your best? We'd love to hear it below.

Ever feel overwhelmed trying to grocery shop after a CKD diagnosis? You're not alone.

One of the most common questions we hear is: "What should I buy?"

The truth is, there isn't one universal "kidney diet." What belongs in your cart depends on your stage of CKD, lab values, medications, and the guidance of your nephrologist or renal dietitian.

That said, there are a few habits that can help almost anyone become a more confident shopper:

🛒 Fill your cart with plenty of whole, minimally processed foods when possible.

🧂 Check the sodium before anything else on packaged foods.

📖 Read the ingredient list—not just the front of the package. Marketing terms like "natural" or "healthy" don't always tell the whole story.

🔍 Compare brands. Two similar products can have very different amounts of sodium or added ingredients.

🥗 Remember that no single food makes or breaks your kidney health. Consistent, informed choices over time often matter more than striving for perfection.

This grocery cart isn't meant to be a prescription—it's simply an example of how we can approach shopping with kidney health in mind.

Reading food labels can feel like learning a new language after a CKD diagnosis—but it doesn't have to. One of the most empowering skills you can develop is knowing what to look for before a product goes into your cart.

A few extra seconds reading the Nutrition Facts panel and ingredient list can help you make choices that better align with your health goals. And remember, there isn't one "perfect" food for everyone with disease. Your stage of , lab values, medications, and guidance from your or all matter.

✨ Start simple:
✔️ Check the serving size.
✔️ Look at the sodium.
✔️ Read the ingredients.
✔️ Compare brands instead of assuming they're all the same.

Over time, these small habits become second nature.

💬 What part of a label has always confused you the most? Sodium? Potassium? Serving sizes? Hidden ingredients? Let us know in the comments—we may cover it in a future post!

The Truth 💧 is important—but more isn't always better.

For some people living with , drinking enough water helps support overall health. But for others—especially those with advanced kidney disease, heart failure, or on dialysis—too much fluid can actually place extra strain on the body.

There is no one-size-fits-all water goal for .

Your ideal fluid intake depends on:
✔️ Your stage of CKD
✔️ Your medications
✔️ Whether you have swelling
✔️ Blood pressure
✔️ Heart health
✔️ Your nephrologist's recommendations

Why this myth exists:
generally benefit from good hydration, so people often assume "more water" is always better. But kidneys that aren't functioning normally don't always handle extra fluid the same way.

⭐ GoldenStandards Takeaway: Your kidneys don't need you to win a water-drinking contest. They need the right amount of hydration—for your body.

💬 Question: Has your ever given you a daily fluid goal?
