Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and continued his military service for several years thereafter. He attained the rank of Specialist Five and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service, along with numerous other military honors. He remained proud of his service throughout his life and was a longtime member of VFW Post 2514 in New Bern.

Danny was born on July 4th, 1948 and passed away on June 18th, 2026 at the age of 77

Buster's spiritual journey was one of God's amazing grace. After giving his heart to Christ, Buster faithfully served the Lord and developed a deep love for Southern Gospel music. He and Carol attended countless gospel singings together, rejoicing in songs that honored Christ.

Buster was born on January 10th, 1941 and passed away on June 17th, 2026 at the age of 85

Robert began his working life on his father's farm, an experience that laid the foundation of his humble, hardworking nature. His dedication to his craft led him to learn the trade of an electrical lineman, eventually working for the City of New Bern for 35 years before retiring in 1998.

Robert was born on July 5th, 1936 and passed away on June 14th, 2026 at the age of 89

We extend our sincere appreciation to the brethren of Grantham Lodge No. 725 A.F. & A.M. for their presence, support, and participation in the celebration of the life of David Lane Arthur.

David was a devoted Mason who valued the principles of brotherhood, charity, integrity, and service. Throughout his life, he exemplified these values not only within the Masonic fraternity but also through his distinguished career in law enforcement and his commitment to the community he loved.

The participation of his Masonic brothers in honoring his memory was a meaningful and heartfelt tribute to a man who cherished the bonds of fellowship and the lessons of the Craft. Their presence brought comfort to David’s family and friends and served as a reminder of the lasting impact that true brotherhood has on our lives.

On behalf of David’s family, we thank the members of Grantham Lodge No. 725 A.F. & A.M. for standing with us as we celebrated a life dedicated to service, honor, faith, and friendship.

David’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, served beside him, and proudly called him Brother.

Glenda’s culinary prowess was second to none. Her sausage balls, pecan pie, and brownies were the stuff of legend, eagerly anticipated at every family gathering. After a day of tanning at the beach or playing cards with friends and family, Glenda loved nothing more than to return home to her beloved New Bern, a town she never left but enriched with her vibrant presence.

Glenda was born on June 8th, 1957 and passed away on June 12th, 2026 at the age of 69

Today, we would like to recognize and thank the members of Ionic Lodge No. 583 A.F. & A.M. for their participation in honoring the life of Jeffrey E. Jones, Sr.

The tribute provided by the Lodge was a meaningful and memorable part of Jeffrey’s service, and it brought comfort to his family and all who gathered to celebrate his life.

In her retirement, Carole moved to New Bern, where she became a beloved member of the Taberna community. She enjoyed playing bridge and poker with friends and cherished every moment she spent with her dear husband, John McCoy, with whom she celebrated 63 blissful years of marriage.

Carole was born on July 25th, 1942 and passed away on June 14th, 2026 at the age of 83

He cherished time spent outdoors hunting, fishing, and nurturing a garden each spring and summer. His love for animals saw him raising everything from chickens to cows. His favorite pastime was fishing from the railroad tracks over the Neuse river in Bridgeton and down in Morehead City.

Jimmy was born on February 27th, 1948 and passed away on June 14th, 2026 at the age of 78
