Somewhere along the way, we started treating “not sick” and “healthy” like they mean the same thing.
We normalized waking up tired.
Needing caffeine just to feel human.
Feeling bloated after every meal.
Energy crashes in the afternoon.
Periods that derail an entire week.
Brain fog, poor recovery, unpredictable digestion, restless sleep…
And because we can still go to work, take care of our families, exercise, and get through the day, we convince ourselves we’re doing okay.
But functioning is a pretty low bar for health.
I don’t think the goal should be to get your body functioning just well enough that you can keep pushing through your life.
I want to know what it would look like for your body to actually support the life you want to live.
To have energy for the things you love.
To eat without constantly wondering how your stomach will react.
To recover well.
To sleep well.
To feel strong, clear-headed, resilient, and like yourself again.
That’s a big part of why I practice functional medicine.
We take the time to look at your health as a whole, understand the patterns behind what you’re experiencing, use testing when it can actually give us useful information, and create a realistic plan for moving forward.
Because “I can live with it” doesn’t have to be the standard.
Your body is capable of more than the bare minimum.
And I want to help you build a body that’s capable of supporting a life you love. 🤎
I’m currently accepting new functional medicine clients in North Carolina, both in person and virtually.
If you’ve been settling for “fine enough,” DM me THRIVE and I’ll send you information on how to get started.
