Dermatology Associates of Coastal Carolina has positions for Surgical Technicians. The primary responsibility is to assist the clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions to facilitate the delivery of surgical/procedural services to the patient and provide patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, and simple treatments
Responsibilities:
Mohs Clinic – Prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for procedures
Perform patient intake, prep patient for surgery and assist the MD in all MOHS surgeries, repairs
You will explain procedures, address any questions or concerns and help the patient feel at ease prior to the procedure
Dermatology office – Room intake patients, chart for PA/NP
Instrument processing – washing, packaging, and sterilizing
EMR entry, handle all lab requirements for your patient
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Completion of accredited Operating Room Technologist course or equivalent training
BLS Certified and National Certification required
Must be able to demonstrate dexterity in the use of surgical instruments and knowledge of the step-by-step procedure for various surgical cases
