🍂🌀 Spotted an autumn equinox spiral on the beach today, shaped by sargassum seaweed—a beautiful little reminder that nature is always turning through its seasons. 🌊🤎

The autumn equinox arrives tonight at 7:05 p.m. Central Time, marking the astronomical start of fall in the Northern Hemisphere. At this moment, the Sun crosses the celestial equator, bringing day and night into near balance. ☀️⚖️🌙

Across many traditions, the spiral is often seen as a symbol of nature’s cycles, transformation, and the inward journey. Paired with the equinox—a season associated with balance, gratitude, harvest, and letting go—it felt like the perfect sign to pause, reflect, and welcome a new season. 🍁✨

Here’s to honoring what has grown, releasing what no longer serves us, and moving gently into autumn. 🧡

💜𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱?

That matters more than you might think. When choosing an elderberry syrup kit, don’t just look at the promised yield — look at the weight of the herbs and berries inside the package.

Here’s why: two kits can weigh about the same, but one may say it makes 35 oz while another claims it makes 60 oz. How can that be? 🤔

💧The difference is simple — one recipe is calling for a lot more water.
Elderberry products are not created equally. The quality of ingredients matters, but so does the berry-to-water ratio. A higher yield is not always a better value if that yield comes from diluting the berries. 🫐💦

I recently came across a syrup kit that seemed surprisingly inexpensive for the stated yield. After looking closer, I noticed the recipe called for about three times more water than we use for the same amount of berries/weight. That lower price made more sense now — the volume was being stretched with water. 😟

🌿 This is why I encourage people to look beyond the number of ounces a kit claims to make. A cup of berries should not realistically yield a very large amount of syrup without sacrificing potency. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸… 🌈😉

When it comes to herbal preparations, potency matters—but more is not necessarily better. The key is using the right amount of nourishing, purposeful ingredients to create a remedy that is both balanced and beneficial. 🌱✨

✨ Bottom line: don’t be misled by big yield claims. Your finished herbal product is only as good as the ingredients you start with — and how much they are diluted along the way.
