Meaningful Pathways

Meaningful Pathways I provide counseling services for adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in addressing childhood abuse/trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss.

After working in the mental health field for a little over a decade, in various settings including residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, advocacy centers, and school settings, I decided to open the doors to my own private practice - Meaningful Pathways, PLLC. Creating a space for safety and attunement, a place where perfectly imperfect is celebrated and showing up just as you are becomes easy. People often ask me why I do what I do or how, and while I admit that it is difficult at times, it's about finding light in the darkness, finding hope in the face of despair. And for me, that's my gift - I get the opportunity to walk beside someone during their most difficult time(s), I get the opportunity to see them continue to move forward, to have the ability to reflect on the past and gain both knowledge and understanding of how it has shaped them today, seeing them find the strength in their vulnerability, compassion for all parts of themselves, and the courage to show up just as they are. Therapy looks different for everyone and everyone's reason for beginning therapy is equally as different; but what is similar about all the individuals I've seen throughout the years is their strength - many times they don't see their own strength in the beginning, but believe me when I say, asking for help takes strength, and it's with that strength that we find a place for growth.

AI is a powerful and helpful tool, especially when it comes to tasks such as organizing ideas and creating outlines or drafts. When it comes to mental health, however, its helpfulness has limitations and risks. Understanding how AI works and being aware of the risks can assist in navigating and incorporating AI in your everyday life. Two of the most important things to keep in mind when using AI are:

1) AI is designed to reinforce your perspective, not to challenge or expand — this can become extremely dangerous when users are experiencing paranoia, psychosis, and/or thoughts of violence/harm.

2) AI is designed to keep you engaged, usually done through agreement or mirroring the users language and beliefs (including providing inaccurate or fabricated information).

Below is APAs guide to navigating AI and emotional wellness.

Heads up, clients… might need to find a new route to the office (coming down Oak Run from the loop will likely work best)!

Traffic changes include southbound Oak Run Parkway being reduced to one lane for traffic traveling from the Oak Run neighborhood toward Hunters Creek. This closure is expected to last about four months. The outside westbound lane on SH 46 will be closed for about three months and the eastbound right-turn lane on SH 46 will also be closed for about three months.
