This morning my heart was incredibly full with gratitude and love! Yesterday morning we were visiting family in Michigan and attended a very small Catholic Church for mass. It was beautiful, the people were welcoming( a sweet lady offered me her umbrella walking in the rain) and the message was short and sweet! Let God in! Soften your hearts and let God show you what he has planned! Jesus pierced his heart to show his love for us, we can soften ours and let him in! I have prayed this for my family so many times. For them to feel God's love and know that they will always have a safe place to fall.

I don't know what plan He has for me but I'm doing my best to PAUSE.. take a deep BREATH.. and GIVE it all to Jesus!

We do what we can, we make mistakes, we learn and we move forward.

Reconnect & Recharge Retreats are for the women who need a moment.. need the space to fully exhale.. need a place to catch up with friends, themselves, God.. who know the trials of motherhood and how it wears on us.. who craves a girl's day that doesn't have to revolve around alcohol or staying out late 😉 I invite you to take the initiative, send out the group text and plan the day.. 3 easy to do breathing techniques that are helpful for the lymphatic system that can be any time of the day!
1. Diaphragmatic breathing (belly breath) movement is in the belly not the chest or shoulders!
2. Fog breath- really increases abdominal pressure/compression
3. 4-7-8 breath-inhale through the nose for the count of 4 hold for the count of 7 and exhale for the count of 8. Bonus this breathing technique is great for the nervous system and can help you calm down and center very quickly!

Do you notice:
•puffiness or swelling, often in the face, hands, or ankles
•a heavy, full feeling in the limbs
•morning stiffness that takes longer than it should to clear
•slower recovery after training
•feeling run down more often than you would like
•a body that just feels like it is holding onto things

What to do:
•Move daily- intentional movement
•Breathe- 360 breathing, diaphragmatic breathing
•Loose clothing- tight clothing can create a "kink in the garden hose" effect
•Hydration- consistent throughout the day

A simple morning/bedtime routine to help with any extra fluid retention and puffiness!
Our lymphatic system does not have an internal pump(like our heart does) so we have to do our best to keep things moving!
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) uses light techniques to open up lymph channels (think small creek to a river to the ocean type of thing) and manually push the lymph through those open spaces.
Add this routine with some morning rebounding (just jump up and down 75-100 times) for morning puffiness and an overall lighter feeling!
