Happy Father's Day!

We want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the fathers, caregivers, and father figures who provide support and guidance in the lives of others every day. Whether through quiet encouragement, hard work, presence, or protection, the impact of positive father figures can shape lives in meaningful and lasting ways.

Father’s Day can also be a reminder that many men carry stress, pressure, and emotional burdens silently. Research continues to show that men are often less likely to seek support for their mental health, even when they are struggling. Asking for help can feel difficult, but reaching out is a sign of self-awareness and strength.

We hope you take time to care for your mental wellbeing and check in with those around you as you celebrate or recognize the day.

Happy Juneteenth!

Today honors the moment in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Texas finally learned they were free, marking the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth continues to be celebrated as a day of freedom, resilience, culture, and community through gatherings, storytelling, music, art, and celebration across the country.

At Sagent, we know that connection and community matter deeply. Juneteenth is an opportunity to come together, celebrate progress, uplift one another, and continue creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported. While there is still important work ahead in building more equitable and compassionate communities, today is also a time for joy, reflection, and celebration.

Too often, men are told to stay strong, push through, or handle challenges on their own. These expectations can make it harder to reach out for support. In fact, less than half of men experiencing a mental health condition received treatment in 2024.

By breaking down stigma, meeting people where they're at, and making care more accessible, we can help more men get the support they deserve. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness -- no one should have to face mental health challenges alone.

You may never fully know the impact you have on others!!

Whether it's that friend who thinks about your kindness, the coworker who appreciates your support, or the loved one whose day is brighter because of you -- you would be surprised by how many people smile when they think of you. 💛

Building connections can feel overwhelming. Here are a few ways to get you started and give you inspiration:

1. Reach out to one person you trust
2. Say yes to low-pressure opportunities
3. Stand outside in the sun or go for a walk
4. Greet someone by name
5. Sit near others instead of alone
6. Leave a kind note or message
7. Do a small task with someone else
8. Create tiny rituals: a goodbye hug, quick chat, or bedtime recap
9. Send a voice note instead of typing a text

Connection is one of the most powerful protective factors for mental health.

Supportive relationships can help reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, strengthen emotional resilience, and remind us that we don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

But connection isn't limited to family and friends. Many people find comfort and meaning through a community, a shared identity, a cause they care about, or simply feeling connected to something larger than themselves. These connections can create a sense of purpose, reduce isolation, and help us stay grounded during difficult times.

Whether it's joining a group, volunteering, attending a community event, or reaching out to someone you trust, even small moments of connection can have a meaningful impact on your well-being.

If you're struggling to be kind to yourself today, start here:

You deserve the same compassion you would offer a friend.
You deserve the same understanding you would give a loved one.

You are worthy of love and kindness, too.

Behind many "I'm fine" responses are people carrying more than anyone realizes.

For many men, there can be an unspoken expectation to always be strong, stay quiet, and handle challenges alone. But true strength isn't about carrying everything by yourself. It's about recognizing when you need support and having the courage to reach for it.

Mental health challenges don't discriminate, and neither should access to care. This men's mental health month, let's continue breaking the stigma around asking for help and create space for honest conversations about mental health.

Humans are wired for connection both emotionally and biologically. The way we connect with others has a direct impact on how our brains and bodies function each day.

When connection is present, it can help us feel safe, regulated, and supported. When it is missing, the effects can show up in both your mental and physical health.

So next time you're feeling hesitant about plans with others, consider saying yes. Social connection can be just the thing you need to reset ♥️
