We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Mittner-D'addio and the amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and staff of New Brighton Elementary School for welcoming Dr. Burick into your classrooms to share her book and celebrate Lion Pride . 💛 🦁❤️
This opportunity was especially meaningful because it was done in honor of Mr. Mittner (and infamous 1 o'clock yell), a man whose dedication, kindness, and service left a lasting impact on the school, the community, and so many lives. He gave so much of himself to helping others, supporting students, and making New Brighton a better place.
While Mr. Mittner may no longer be with us, his legacy continues through the lives he touched and the values he demonstrated every day—service, generosity, and community spirit. It is our hope that by sharing stories, encouraging young readers, and investing in our youth, we can help keep his memory alive and inspire the next generation to make a difference just as he did.
Thank you again to everyone at New Brighton Elementary School for helping Dr. Burick honor a truly remarkable individual. Together, we ensure that Mr. Mittner's legacy continues to shine throughout our community for years to come.
