Exercise is easier to stick with when it doesn’t feel like another chore on your to-do list. ✅

When life is busy, it’s hard to stay motivated for workouts you don’t enjoy or routines that feel too overwhelming.

So start with movement that feels doable.

● A short walk
● quick stretch
● A few strength exercises
● Dancing in your kitchen
● Taking the stairs

Anything that helps you move and still fits into your day counts.

It doesn’t have to be the hardest workout to matter.

Sometimes, the best exercise is the one you’ll actually come back to.

Share this with someone who needs a reminder that movement can be simple and still count.

5 simple health goals to set this June, approved by your PT. 👍

🚶 Move for 10 minutes each day. A short walk, light mobility, or gentle stretching still counts.

💪 Add strength training twice a week. Strong muscles help support your joints and make daily movement feel easier.

⏰ Take more movement breaks. If you sit for long periods, stand up, walk around, or stretch every hour.

😴 Prioritize better sleep. Your body needs enough rest to recover, recharge, and keep up with your day.

👂 Listen to your body early. Do not wait until discomfort becomes harder to manage before asking for help.

Small goals can make a big difference over time. Save this as your reminder to move, rest, and take care of your body this month.

Low back pain is not always just about discs, muscles, or ligaments.

As PTs, we look at the bigger picture because your back does not work alone.

Stiff or weak hips can make your low back work harder during daily movements like walking, bending, or lifting.

Stress, poor sleep, and long periods of sitting can also affect how your back feels and how well your body recovers.

Low back pain can have many contributing factors, so the right plan should fit your body, your routine, and your goals.

Share this with someone who needs to hear that back pain is not always as simple as “just getting older” or “just having a bad back.”

🦶 Still dealing with ankle pain even after resting? You’re not alone. While rest can help calm symptoms temporarily, ongoing ankle pain is often a sign that there’s an underlying issue that hasn’t been fully addressed. Whether it’s a past injury, instability, mobility restrictions, or muscle weakness, the root cause may still be affecting how you move.

Physical therapy can help identify what’s really causing your ankle pain, improve strength and stability, restore mobility, and help prevent future injuries so you can get back to your daily activities with confidence 💪🏽.

If your ankle pain keeps coming back or never fully goes away, it may be time to look beyond rest and focus on long-term recovery 🙌🏽.

Back pain doesn’t always mean your body is “just getting older.”

Age can play a role, but it is rarely the whole story.

Your back can also be influenced by things like:

✅ Strength
✅ Mobility
✅ Movement habits
✅ Activity levels
✅ Sleep and recovery
✅ Stress
✅ Time spent sitting or staying in the same positions

Getting older does not automatically mean you have to accept back pain as “just part of life.”

Sometimes, your body may need a better plan, a different pace, or the right support to rebuild strength, confidence, and tolerance with movement.

A physical therapist can help you better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and create a plan that fits your body, goals, and everyday life.

Core strength isn’t about how defined your abs look. ⚠️

Visible abs are mostly about body composition, not necessarily strength, stability, or control.

A strong core is about how well your body can brace, rotate, balance, bend, lift, and handle movement in real life. 💪

And your core is more than just your six-pack muscles. Your obliques, lower back, hips, deep core muscles, and pelvic floor all work together to support how you move.

So no, core strength isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how your body functions.
