What an AMAZING day!! 🎿💗

Rosemary got to try adaptive skiing with Shockwaves in Shakopee and she had an absolute BLAST!! Smiling ear to ear, screaming, laughing and loving every single second. 🥹😂

Watching her get to experience things like this and just go and have fun will never get old!

We are SO thankful for the incredible humans who put this event together and made this experience possible for her. Such an amazing organization, she already can’t wait for next year!

Thanks to Miracle Treat Day, Rosemary got to spend the day “working” at Dairy Queen and I truly don’t think she could have been any happier. She was SO proud to put on her hat and help serve customers with the biggest smile on her face!

If you know Rosemary, you know this was basically her dream come true. At home she’s always pretending to serve food, take orders, and bring everyone their “meals,” so getting to do it for real and for real customers not just mom and dad was the absolute best day ever in her eyes!

Watching her confidence shine and seeing how seriously she took her very important job filled my heart more than I can put into words.

A Massive thank you to Jessica and Keith at the St. Anthony Dairy Queen for making Rosemary feel so special, so capable, and so celebrated. You guys were so AMAZING for letting her run the show.

And thank you to everyone who came out and supported Miracle Treat Day. Seeing so many people show up to watch Rosemary do her thing while raising money for Children's Miracle Network and Gillette Children’s meant so much to our family. Every Blizzard purchased helps support kids like Rosemary, making life-changing care and unforgettable opportunities possible. It’s still early so go get you some! ❤️🍦

Gillette Children's patients signed autographs for the Twins players before they got to watch batting practice and a game.

We are so incredibly grateful to Gillette Children's for making this unforgettable day possible and to the Minnesota Twins for welcoming Rosemary with such kindness.

She had the honor of participating in their reverse autograph signing, where the players asked her for her autograph!

Watching her confidently scribble her name for them with the biggest smile on her face was something I'll never forget. She always said “You are SO welcome” as she handed the cards over and even ask them what color marker they wanted her to sign with. 🥹 It was adorable. It may have looked like a simple scribble to most, but to us, it represented so much growth, confidence, and joy!

This year, we've watched Rosemary come out of her shell in ways we never imagined. To see her so excited, so proud of herself, and so willing to interact with everyone filled my heart more than I can put into words.

She also got to tour the stadium, stand on the field during batting practice, and be a catcher on the field. These are the kinds of experiences that make kids feel seen, included, and celebrated exactly as they are, and that means everything to our family.

Of course, not every moment was picture perfect. Despite our best efforts to avoid him, TC Bear made an appearance, and Rosemary who is still very, very scared of mascots became overwhelmed. She had a full blown meltdown right there on the field.

But you know what? That's okay.

Hard moments don't erase beautiful ones. They don't take away from her courage or how incredibly well she did for such a long, exciting day.
They simply remind us that bravery isn't about never being afraid it's about showing up anyway.

To everyone at Gillette Children's and the Minnesota Twins who made Rosemary feel so loved and important, thank you. Thank you for creating memories our family will treasure forever and for reminding us how much kindness, inclusion, and community can mean to a child.

Aside from this past week, where we very sadly had to miss quite a bit of PT and even Rosemary’s last day of school because sickness decided to take a toll on her she has continued to work so incredibly hard every single day.

This spring has been BUSY. Between therapy appointments, school, home exercises, and all the little moments in between, Rosemary has been showing up and giving it her all. Watching her continue to build strength, confidence, and determination after everything she’s been through has been nothing short of inspiring.

And while there has been a lot of hard work, there has been a lot of fun too because she absolutely deserves it. We've been making memories, enjoying sunshine, spending time with both Grandmas, and trying our best to balance all the work with plenty of joy.

I've got lots of fun footage to share from our adventures, but that will come later when I can find a spare second to sit down and put it all together. 😅

For now, just know that she's still working hard, getting stronger every day, and making the most of this beautiful, busy summer!

After that long, exhausting sick week, we had to say goodbye to my parents as they headed back to Michigan… and that part never gets easier 😓

Between my parents and Grandma Mary, we were truly carried through one of the hardest stretches we’ve had.
They stepped in without hesitation and just held everything together when we couldn’t.

Taking care of Penny, going back and forth to the hospital, cleaning the house, making sure we had what we needed, and somehow still pouring so much love into all of us in the middle of it.

It’s hard to even put into words what that kind of support means when you’re running on empty.
When you’re just trying to get through the day, and someone steps in and lifts the weight off your shoulders without being asked… it’s everything.

We are so incredibly grateful for them — for the way they showed up, for the love they gave our girls, and for the way they carried us through when we needed it most.

Thankfully, we’ve got Grandma Mary back in town again, the sun is finally shining, and Rosemary is back where she belongs 💪
Her first day back at PT was amazing — side stepping, sit-to-stands, standing, walking… she worked so hard and did such a great job.
And the best part? It doesn’t look like she lost any strength while we were down.

Kids are unbelievably resilient ✨
Back to it!

We’ve been a little MIA… a nasty stomach bug hit our whole house and took us OUT 😵‍💫🤢

We had to miss school and 2 PT’s which was so hard… but today we’re finally feeling better 🙌🏼

Back to manicures and doing PT at home as much as we can muster with our lack of energy 💅🏼💪🏼
