Lucille (Nesgoda) Colaresi, 80, of Kensington, beloved wife of Charles H. Colaresi for 58 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Autumn Lake in Cromwell. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Clara (DiPinto) Nesgoda. Lucille graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in New Britain with the Class of 1964 and later earned her nursing degree from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. Lucille had been a resident of Kensington since 1972. She worked as a registered nurse and psychiatric nurse at the Institute of Living in Hartford for 27 years before retiring in 2005. Lucille cherished traveling with Charles to Sint Maarten since 1985 and enjoyed spending time at their home in Vermont, which she decorated and where she enjoyed winter sports. An avid quilter, she was recognized as Nurse of the Year at the Institute of Living in 1990.
In addition to her husband Charles, Lucille is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Polsky and her husband David of Ashford, and Kristin Colaresi of Rocky Hill. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Nathaniel and Joshua Polsky, and a nephew, JR. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9 to 11 AM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.

Margarite (Aharonian) Monterosso-Hunt, 85, of Duncaster in Bloomfield, wife of Donald F. Hunt, passed away Thursday (October 22, 2026) at UConn Medical Center in Farmington. Born in New Britain, Margarite was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1959, received her Bachelor’s Degree from CCSC in 1964 and later received a Master in Early Childhood Education. She was an Elementary School Teacher for 20 years in Wethersfield. She lived in Devonwood in Farmington for 32 years, until moving to Bloomfield in 2020. Margarite was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Monterosso. A longtime faithful member of First Church in New Britain, she also supported the Prudence Crandall Center and was a member of the Farmington Garden Club. Margarite loved gardening, cooking and celebrating family holiday traditions.
Besides her husband Donald, she leaves a daughter, Marguerite “Meg” Fitzsimonds and her husband Jonathan of West Hartford; a sister, Linda Zavalick and her husband Leonard of Holliston, MA; 3 grandchildren, Colin Fitzsimonds and his wife Hannah of Canton, Matthew Fitzsimonds and Meghan Fitzsimonds, both of West Hartford. Be sides her first husband Anthony, she was predeceased by a sister, Suzanne Newton.

Victoria “Vicki” Carolyn Wolf, 81, passed away on October 19, 2026, in White Plains, New York, with her children at her side.
Raised in San Rafael, California, Vicki attended the city’s historic Dominican Convent School and Marin Catholic High School. After raising two children, she proudly went back to college to earn a degree in Law and Society from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Vicki was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. In the 1970s, she worked as school secretary at St. Isabella’s, the grade school her children attended. She loved the job as it allowed her to be close to her children during their school years.
She was a great homemaker and amazing cook, even hand-making the tortillas for her tacos. Vicki actively supported her children’s interests as they grew, encouraging them to get into sports like tennis as children and into music as teenagers. She would join her kids at concerts and loved to be part of the party. When her children were in their twenties, Vicki moved to Los Angeles to be closer to them while working as a paralegal and teacher.
Vicki was a talented tennis player, winning a tournament at her condominium in the 1970s.
She especially loved doo-wop and Motown music which would make her reminisce about her high school days cruising 4th street with friends - a pastime made famous in the film American Graffiti - playing their favorite songs and seeing classmates pass by.

Rose Marie aka “Cookie” (Arasimowicz) McLellan, 89, of Southington, passed away Saturday (October 17, 2026) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain, Surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Ronald J. McLellan, Sr. who died in 1974. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Stephen and Frances (Ferone) Arasimowicz, she was a former Plainville resident of 15 years before moving to Southington over a year ago. Rose Marie was employed as an inspector at Fafnir Bearing Company for 39 years, retiring in 1994.
Surviving is a son, Ronald J. McLellan, Jr. and his wife Grace Martin of Southington; a daughter, Jane Ford and her husband John of Bristol; a special cousin and friend, Rosemarie Oakes of Southington; a brother, Michael Arasimowicz of Riviera Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Rose Marie was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Grant and four brothers, George, James, Donald and Stephen Arasimowicz, Jr.
Cookie was an avid bowler and played in many leagues, she also was a pitcher on the Fafnir Bearing spitfire softball team. She loved going to New York City to see a Broadway show. Later in life she enjoyed her annual birthday trip to Mohegan Sun.

Rev. Willard R. Baumgartner, 95, of Cromwell passed away Monday (October 12, 2026) at Middlesex Health in Middletown, CT, surrounded by the love of family. He was born in Birmingham, AL and raised in Miami, FL. He was a former Plainville resident before moving to Cromwell, CT in 2017. A graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, he received a Bachelor and Master of Divinity. He also received a master’s degree in counseling from St. Joseph’s University in West Hartford, CT. Pastor Will served for 36 years at Grace Lutheran Church in Plainville, CT, where he lived and raised his family. He served as the chaplain of the Plainville Fire Department for over 20 years and volunteered for many organizations in the Plainville community. He was a part-time chaplain at the Hospital of Central Connecticut and later served at Zion Lutheran Church in Southington, CT. Pastor Will completed his lifelong service as the visitation pastor at First Lutheran Church in New Britain, CT where he retired in 2024.
Surviving are his daughter Christa Mallozzi and her husband Ralph of Stony Point, NY and his son Nathan “Nate” Baumgartner of Manchester and his partner Shannon Lathrop, four grandchildren, Megan Mallozzi and Grace Mallozzi, Katelyn and Dylan Baumgartner; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sylvia "Winnie" Webb, of New Britain, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2026, at New Britain General Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on January 16, 1945, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Clifford G. Engstrom and Marion G. (Gledhill) Engstrom, both of Hartford. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 30 years, DJ Harry Webb and her brother, Clifford Engstrom. Sylvia dedicated her life to education, community service, and her family and friends. Her career in education spanned nearly four decades with the Middletown Public Schools from 1967 to 2005, during which she served as a teacher, instructional consultant, and principal - most notably leading Spencer Elementary School. She was also an active member of the Associated Teachers of Mathematics in Connecticut. Following her retirement, her commitment to students and schools continued as she returned to serve as Interim Principal at Edna C. Stevens School in Cromwell from 2006 to 2007, and later as Interim Principal at Wesley School in Middletown in 2012. Through her leadership and guidance, she shaped the lives of generations of students, teachers, and families. Beyond her professional achievements, Winnie was a deeply dedicated community volunteer who gave generously of her time to local organizations and traditions. Jeffrey K. Hartling, 83, of New Britain, beloved husband of Page (Scheuy) Hartling, passed away Wednesday (October 7, 2026) at his home. Born in Hartford, Jeffrey was a former Newington resident until moving to New Britain in 1973. A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Class of 1961, he attended Niagra University and was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam Era. Jeff was a member of St. Maurice Church in New Britain and was a member of the New Britain Museum of American Art. Jeff was an Accounting Supervisor at the former New Britain Federal Savings Bank for 22 years, retiring in 1993. Jeff loved traveling with Page to various destinations worldwide.
Besides his beloved wife Page, who recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary, he leaves a brother, Alan Hartling of Surf City, NC; two sisters, Judy Hartling of Springfield, MA and MaryEllen Toce and her husband Christopher of Berlin; and two nephews, Alex and Eric Toce. He was predeceased by a brother, Steven Hartling and a sister, Beth Hartling.

Juan Evangelista-Cruz, 88, of New Britain, husband of Antonia (Garcia) Evangelista, passed away Wednesday (October 7, 2026) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in the Dominican Republic, Juan has been a New Britain resident since 2003 and was formerly employed at the Fairview Cemetery in New Britain.
Besides his wife Antonia, he is survived by two sons, Juan A. Evangelista of New Britain; and Jose Evangelista and his wife Anna, also of New Britain; three daughters, Angela Cruz of Australia; Denny Evangelista of New Britain; and Ligia Evangelista of Australia; two brothers, five sisters, 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday (October 10, 2026) 12 Noon at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Elizabeth “Betty” (DePinto) Zita, 95, of New Britain, wife of the late Robert V. Zita, passed away Saturday (Sept 19, 2026) at Autumn Lake of West Hartford. A native and lifelong New Britain resident, she was daughter of John and Pasqualina (Monolfi) DePinto. Betty graduated from New Britain High School with the class of 1949 and worked at the First National Store in Newington for more than 25 years before her retirement. She was a member of St Ann’s Church in New Britain.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Zita and his partner Laurie LeMere in Wisconsin and James Zita and his wife Heather in South Carolina; a daughter, Kim Zita Hannon of Farmington; six grandchildren, Vicki Zita-Miller, Cindy Raynis, Evan and Erin Frederick and Katy and Ryan Hannon; 4 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Betty was predeceased by her son-in-law Robert J. Hannon, seven brothers and eight sisters. When Betty was not working, besides her family, her true joy was being in the kitchen. Her kitchen table was often covered in flour and the sweet smell of cookies freshly baked or homemade pasta waiting to boil. She was known to share her famous “Italian Cookies” with family, friends and even with the staff at her dentist’s office. Betty loved having celebrations at her home in New Britain and welcomed friends as extended family. The door was always open, and the coffee pot was never empty. In her eyes, food was love.

Lucila Serrano Rojas, 91, of Farmington, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Amberwoods of Farmington.
Lucila was born on June 26, 1935, in Bucaramanga, Colombia. She was a single, independent woman who dedicated herself to the care of her parents and made a career in banking in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1988, Lucila immigrated to the United States with her mother and reunited with her sister’s family, upon her retirement.
She is predeceased by her parents Efrain Serrano and Sara (Rojas) Serrano, along with sisters Lola, Lilia and Marina. She is survived by her sister, Leonor (Serrano) Machado and her three sons: Jorge Alberto Machado and his wife Tatiana; Carlos Augusto Machado and his wife Karen; and Luis Fernando Machado and his wife Brenda. She is also survived by their children Kevin, Nicolás, Diego, Genesis, and Brianna.
Lucila played an important part of the lives of her nephews. She was always present in their upbringing as she helped to raise and guide them in an extended household. Their close ties continued into adulthood. She became a golf enthusiast in her later years, spending countless hours watching tournaments on television.
