Karen Lee (McMahon) Kuhn, 80, of Camby, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
She was born on June 28, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold and Ida McMahon (née Colton).
In a public profession of her faith, she was baptized July 21, 1963, at Fell Lake Park, Northfield, Ohio. On July 30, 1966, she married the love of her life, Rod Kuhn, and they were blessed with 60 years of marriage. Across 19 moves covering many states, one move to Europe, and spanning many decades.
Karen served as a teacher and worship leader alongside her husband, Rod. Their shared ministry was woven through every part of their life together. She taught Sunday School, led Women’s Bible Study, played piano for mid-week services and to accompany her family or friends. Karen was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene from her baptism forward. Her most recent home being at Southport Church of the Nazarene for the past three years.
Karen will be remembered as a wonderful Bible teacher and scholar, not only to those in
her local church, but through nearly 20 years of teaching Biblical distance-learning courses to students around the world.
She is survived by her husband, Rod of Camby; her daughters, Jennifer Kuhn of Camby, and Christy Marsh (James) of Indianapolis; her siblings, Patti Avram of Alger, Michigan, Dennis McMahon (Karen) of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Diana Varnes of Macedonia,...
