Loving the new sign for the ‘Garden of Hope’ 🌼 on Wallace Ave. The set up is a little different than it used to be though. We are using the back center door for the waiting room so that the big front room can be used for groups.

This summer we're offering small, therapist-led groups for kids, teens, and high schoolers right here in New Castle — and most major insurance plans cover it, including Medical Assistance.

🌱 Happy Campers Club — Grades 3–4
Mondays, June 8 – July 13 | 9:00–10:30am
Building real skills for handling big feelings, navigating friendships, and growing confidence — in a fun, age-appropriate setting kids will actually enjoy.

💬 Vibes and Coping Skills — Grades 5–8
Wednesdays, June 10 – July 15 | 9:00–10:30am
A no-pressure space for tweens and young teens to build tools that actually work — for stress, emotions, friendships, and everything the middle school years throw at them.

📱 The Group Chat — Grades 9–12
Tuesdays, June 14 – July 16 | 9:00–10:30am
A skills-based group for high schoolers working through anxiety, relationships, self-worth, and more — led by clinicians who know this community.

All groups meet at 143 E. Wallace Ave, New Castle, PA 16101.
Groups are kept small on purpose — typically 8 to 12 young people — so every kid actually gets to be heard.

Jolynn Andrusky, LSW is now accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Hermitage and virtual appointments across Pennsylvania. Jo works with teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, and more.

Her approach? Honest. Focused. No fluff — just real tools, real goals, and real progress. She's EMDR trained and uses CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and mindfulness to build a plan that actually fits your life.

Summer is a great time to start therapy — and our doors are open 🌻

Big news for families in Lawrence County: when the school year lets out our school-based therapists are opening up space to work with new clients this summer!

Whether your child needs support right now or you want to get a head start before the next school year begins, summer is actually one of the best times to get started. Sessions are more flexible — no scheduling around homework, early dismissals, or packed school-day calendars.

And if you start with one of our school-based therapists who are based at your child's home school this summer, they can continue seeing them right in your child's school once the new year begins.

We are still feeling the warmth from last Saturday! 🐾

It was truly an honor for the LCCSTRT team to spend the afternoon with the incredible HOPE Crisis Dog Teams at George Junior Republic. These amazing handlers and their dogs show up — again and again — for people in some of their hardest moments. The work they do is extraordinary, and the heart they bring to it is something to behold.

Our time together was focused on something we feel strongly about: taking care of the caretakers. When you are regularly present with people in crisis, your own nervous system carries that weight — often without you even realizing it. We talked about the impact of vicarious traumatization, what it looks and feels like, and most importantly, some simple, practical tools to help reset and recover after the hard calls.

Because the truth is — you can’t keep showing up for others if no one is showing up for you. 💙

To every HOPE handler and their four-legged partner: thank you. What you do matters more than words can say. We hope you left with a little something to help you take care of yourselves the way you so selflessly take care of everyone else.

Friday reminder to all of our first responders, crisis workers, and helpers out there — it’s been a week. Take a breath. Check in with yourself. You matter too. 🐾
