Birth didn’t go the way I thought it would. But preparation still mattered.

Because pregnancy and birth aren’t about preparing your body for a “perfect” birth.

They’re about preparing your body to adapt.
To recover.
To rebuild.
To meet whatever comes next.

And that’s one of the reasons I believe Pilates during pregnancy is about so much more than staying strong or “getting your body back.”

It’s about building a body that can recover when the plan changes. 🤍

WE’RE BACK!

After nearly two months away, the doors of MyoTherapy are officially opening again — and I’m so excited to welcome you back.

This return feels especially meaningful as our community continues to navigate the aftermath of the recent flooding. My heart is with everyone who has been affected. 🤍

In times like these, we need places to breathe, reconnect, move, and simply feel a little more like ourselves.

So to celebrate being back, we’re offering a FREE PILATES POP-UP from September 15–October 3.

Use code FREEPILATES at checkout

Can’t wait to see you all again!

Are there any postpartum and/or breastfeeding mommas who have been impacted by the flood? I have nursing bras, breast pump parts, pads, ice packs, and other postpartum care items that I can donate. Please share and send me a message if you know someone in need!

Yes I’m still doing Pilates at 7 months pregnant.

No I haven’t done it throughout the entirety of my pregnancy.

First trimester I did nothing because I felt nauseous and was just trying to survive.

Second trimester I kept up with weight training but felt it to be excruciating to recover and needed a break.

Third trimester I’ve be able to do Pilates every day for 20-30 minutes with walking. Some days have been a struggle and other days have been full of energy.

Sometimes it takes patience and trial and error to figure out a routine that feels right in your pregnancy. Be okay with making changes to your wellness routine but you might surprise yourself in the end with what you’re actually capable of.
