For my FREE behavior masterclass comment "EASE" and I'll send you the link
I used to use all of the common behavior approaches like just ignore, it'll go away
But it didn't
Then I learned about child brain and body development
Now I understand when a behavior like hitting happens, I need to:
1️⃣ Bring down the intensity from the emotionally charged moment
By tapping into what their brain and body need to get the child to calm and regulation or a learning state, not a high-intensity emotional state
2️⃣ Show the natural consequence of their action
Like showing how dad is hurt from the hitting, comforting dad, having the child bring dad ice, seeing if dad needs a glass of water or a hug
This is a SO much more effective learning moment for the random consequence than a random consequence like time out or ignoring their behavior
Because it builds actual skills like perspective taking and empathy
👉this is exactly what I go over in my FREE behavior masterclass
