Honored to be an invited faculty speaker at Columbia University's 8th Endoscopic Course, focused on endoscopic orbital surgery, by Dr. Kyle Godfrey. The whole course was wonderful.

I had the opportunity to lecture on endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, participate in panel discussions with colleagues, and spend time teaching in the cadaver lab, one of my favorite ways to share knowledge and help advance our specialty.

Medicine is a lifelong journey of growth, curiosity, and continuous learning. Grateful for the opportunity to learn from so many talented surgeons while contributing my own experience along the way.

And yes, I was still polishing my lecture slides until the very last second. Some things never change.

Last week was a milestone moment as we officially opened the new space, and my heart is so full. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of my colleagues, our department leadership, my family, and, most importantly, our patients. I'd also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Richard Lisman for his continued support and mentorship. Here's to what's next!

This wonderful patient had significant upper eyelid drooping (ptosis) along with excess upper eyelid skin. As a long-time contact lens wearer, she had developed stretching of the eyelid tissues, contributing to her heavy, tired appearance.

By combining ptosis repair with an upper blepharoplasty, I restored a brighter, more open eye while maintaining a completely natural look. Her results preserve her unique features and facial expression, just with improved eyelid position, contour, and symmetry. She told me she loves the brightness of her eyes and how natural everything feels, and that is exactly the goal.

Under-eye bags, dark circles, and loose lower eyelid skin each require a different solution. That's why lower eyelid blepharoplasty should never be approached as a one-size-fits-all surgery.

In younger patients with tight skin and prominent fat pads, I can often perform surgery through the inside of the eyelid with no external scar. In patients with more skin laxity or weaker lid support, additional tightening procedures may be needed to help prevent complications and create a smoother, more youthful result. The goal is always natural rejuvenation, not a pulled or hollow appearance.

If you've been considering lower eyelid surgery, the consultation is where we determine exactly what your eyelids need and what approach will give you the safest, best outcome. Click the link below to schedule.

3 weeks after customized in-office upper eyelid rejuvenation surgery and the goal was never "done." It was refreshed, rested, and natural. Her sisters knew she looked amazing, they just couldn't figure out why. They were even searching for facelift scars around her ears.

That's exactly the point. Beautiful eyelid rejuvenation shouldn't announce itself. It should simply make you look like the best version of yourself.
Notice the refreshed upper lids, improved symmetry, and smooth eyelid platform, all while still looking completely like her.

When preparing patients for eyelid surgery, I focus on more than just the procedure itself.

I encourage my patients to optimize their health, manage stress, and establish healthy routines before surgery, as the body heals best when it’s well-supported. I also pay close attention to eyelid hygiene and conditions such as blepharitis or Demodex. Treating inflammation, crusting, and irritation beforehand helps create the healthiest environment possible for beautiful healing and recovery.

If you’re considering eyelid surgery and want to learn more about my approach to preparation and recovery, I’d love to guide you through the process. Click the link below to schedule a consultation.

The eyes are often the first place signs of aging appear, but they can also be one of the most transformative areas to refresh. ✨

Blepharoplasty helps address sagging eyelids, puffiness, under-eye bags, and excess skin that can create a tired or heavy appearance. In many cases, the procedure can also improve vision affected by drooping upper eyelids, helping patients feel more comfortable and confident in their daily lives.

With a focus on natural, balanced results, I combine surgical precision with an artistic approach to help patients look refreshed, rested, and rejuvenated, never overdone. Whether your goals are cosmetic, functional, or both, eyelid surgery can create subtle yet impactful improvements that enhance your overall appearance.
