There can be a lot of confusion around getting help for substance use! ⤵️

People think it’s complicated.
That it takes weeks.
That they won’t know where to go.

But the reality is — it DOESN'T have to be that way.

At APT, care is designed to be accessible, immediate, and built around real people. You can walk in, talk to someone, and start getting the support you need — without the barriers!

Because getting help shouldn’t feel harder than what you’re already going through.

During The Great Give and at APT Cares, our community showed up — to support access to care, reduce stigma, and stand behind the belief that treatment should be available to everyone who needs it! 💙

And that support goes further than a single day or event.

It means more people can access care.
More resources can reach the community.
More lives can be supported.

This is what it looks like when people come together with a shared purpose!

Thank you for being part of it.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

At APT, we believe everyone deserves access to care that is affirming, compassionate, and free from judgment — no matter who you are or where you come from.

This month and every month, we stand with the LGBTQ+ community in supporting access to care, reducing stigma, and creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and supported.

Because care should meet you as you are.

💬 What does inclusive care mean to you? Let us know in the comments.

What happens when people are treated (and seen) as more than a diagnosis?

In this episode of Open Access, Open Mic, Dr. Judith Feinberg shares the impact of curing hepatitis C — how something as simple as access to treatment can change not just someone’s health, but how they see themselves.

Because when people are given the chance to heal, something deeper happens:
They begin to believe they’re worth taking care of!

THIS is what whole-person, compassionate care looks like.

Barriers to treatment don’t just make things harder — they prevent people from getting the care they need!

These aren’t JUST challenges, they’re realities people face every day when trying to get help.

At APT Foundation, we’re working to change that by expanding access to care, reducing delays, and creating pathways that are clear, compassionate, and built around real people!

Because treatment should be accessible — and no one should have to fight for the chance to recover.

💬 Which barrier do you think impacts people the most? Let us know in the comments below.

When others step back, some step in!

In the most recent episode of Open Access, Open Mic, Dr. Judith Feinberg shares what led her to West Virginia at the height of the opioid crisis — not to avoid the problem, but to be part of the solution.

Because real progress in public health doesn’t happen by accident, it happens when people are willing to meet challenges head-on and do the work!

Supporting someone struggling with substance use can feel overwhelming... ⬇️

The uncertainty. The fear. The not knowing what to do next.

But you DON'T have to have all the answers.

At APT, we’re here to support both you and your loved ones — with information, resources, and access to care when they’re ready!

Because substance use disorder is a chronic condition and like any illness, support and understanding matter.
