Can baking soda actually help your body detox? Here's the truth. I do love baking soda for its ability to alkalize the body quickly. In a world where so many things make us acidic, conventional coffee, soda, poor diets, stress, something to quickly counteract that each of us has readily available and is so cheap and easy to use could be a huge benefit. Check out this study in the Journal of Immunology. They showed that taking baking soda on a daily basis for two weeks, helped the kidneys detox, helped support a healthy inflammatory response, and helped to basically allow the body to drive detoxification. So when studies like this come along and we start to understand that there is an impact by adding it in, and it was a short amount of time, I think it's worth, if you're inflamed, if you're feeling toxic, if you're feeling sluggish, if your joints are hurting, all signs of toxicity issues, Add a half a teaspoon into six to eight ounces of water. Have it once or twice a day for two weeks and experience some of the detoxifying and alkalizing impact that simple baking soda could have on your body.
