💗 You Don’t Have to Live With Pelvic Floor Problems

Leaking when you exercise, frequent bathroom trips, pelvic pain, painful in*******se, constipation, or a feeling of pressure or heaviness are not something you simply have to accept.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help.

A pelvic floor PT can help you:

🏋🏽‍♀️Strengthen or relax the pelvic floor appropriately
💦Improve bladder and bowel control
⭐Reduce pelvic pain
✅Improve core and pelvic stability
🏋🏽‍♀️Return to exercise with confidence
🧍‍♀️Better understand what your body needs

Whether you're postpartum, navigating changes with aging, returning to exercise, or simply dealing with symptoms that are affecting your daily life, personalized physical therapy can make a difference.

🌸 Your symptoms are real. Help is available.

Contact Proactive Core Health to learn how pelvic floor physical therapy may be right for you.

Physical Therapy Fun Facts

Physical therapy can reduce the need for surgery.
For conditions like knee osteoarthritis, meniscal tears, and rotator cuff tears, physical therapy has been shown to be as effective as surgery. It offers a less invasive and often more cost-effective treatment option.

💪 EASY WAYS TO ADD MORE PROTEIN

Aim to include a quality protein source at each meal!

🥩 MEAT
• Chicken breast — 3–4 oz → 26–35 g protein
• Lean beef — 3–4 oz → 22–30 g

🥚 EGGS
• 2 whole eggs → 12–13 g
• ¾ cup egg whites → 19–20 g

🐟 FISH & SEAFOOD
• Salmon — 3–4 oz → 20–25 g
• Shrimp — 3–4 oz → 20–25 g

🥛 DAIRY
• Greek yogurt — ¾–1 cup → 15–23 g
• Cottage cheese — ¾ cup → 20–24 g

🌱 PLANT PROTEIN
• Lentils — 1 cup → 17–18 g
• Tofu — 4 oz → 10–12 g

🫘 BEANS & LEGUMES
• Black beans — 1 cup → ~15 g
• Edamame — 1 cup → ~17 g

⭐ THE TAKEAWAY

Try to build your meals around protein rather than adding it as an afterthought.

For many women, 20–30 grams of protein per meal is a practical target, though individual needs vary.

For example, a meal could look like:

Breakfast: 2 eggs + Greek yogurt → ~30 g
Lunch: 3–4 oz chicken → ~25–35 g
Dinner: 3–4 oz salmon → ~20–25 g
Snack: Cottage cheese → ~20 g

This makes it much easier to reach an appropriate daily protein target without having to eat huge portions.

Protein supports muscle, strength, recovery, and healthy aging. Make it a priority! 💪
