A little sparkle, a little acupuncture magic ✨

We had such a wonderful time sharing ear seeds at The Mothership’s Open House this weekend!

Ear seeds are tiny beads placed on specific acupressure points of the ear to gently stimulate the nervous system and support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.

We loved connecting with the vibrant community of Lambertville residents, practitioners, and all the wonderful people who make this town so special.

Grateful to be collaborating with and to be part of this beautiful town! 🤍

Krista’s work speaks to something I believe in deeply: that beauty and self-connection are intimately linked.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture isn’t always about correcting or changing. Sometimes, as with Krista, whose skin is already so beautiful, it’s simply about regulating the nervous system and spending time with self so that one’s own vitality can circulate and be felt.

As practitioners, it is so nourishing and important to exchange roles, remembering that those who devote themselves to caring for others deserve to receive that same tenderness.

🍂 Applepuncture at The Mothership 🍂

I’m excited to share something new!

Beginning Wednesday, October 14, Applepuncture will be taking up a one-month residency at The Mothership in Lambertville — a beautiful new wellness space just across the river.

For five Wednesdays, I’ll be offering acupuncture from a dedicated treatment room within The Mothership, alongside a small community of practitioners and teachers devoted to movement, wellness, and restorative care.

Appointments will have the same quiet, individualized approach you’re accustomed to at Applepuncture. All are welcome — existing patients, new patients, women and men — and you do not need to be a member of The Mothership to book.

Something new for Applepuncture ✨

Beginning October 14, I’ll be offering acupuncture on Wednesdays as part of a one-month residency The Mothership in Lambertville.

I’m so excited to become part of the growing wellness community on the Lambertville side of the river, and to bring acupuncture into this beautiful space and community.

For now, this is a little experiment and a chance to settle into the space, welcome both familiar and new faces, and see what might unfold.

Creating enough time and space for time and space to soften… until nothing needs to be watched or measured… and until you’ve been held long enough to forget you’re being held.

Acupuncture is often much gentler than people imagine. The needles are extraordinarily fine, and most people feel very little as they’re placed, perhaps a tiny pinch, followed by a subtle heaviness, warmth, tingling, or a quiet sense of something shifting. And then, often, the body begins to soften. The breath gets deeper. The muscles let go.

Lying still and being carefully attended to gives the nervous system permission to stop doing quite so much. For many of my patients, that deep settling is as much a part of acupuncture as the needles themselves.

Today I welcomed my very first Women’s Restoration patient. And I’m looking forward to two more on Friday.

This offering has been taking shape in my heart for a long time. I wanted to create something that wasn’t simply another appointment, but a place where women could exhale and truly have enough time to settle, be heard, receive, rest, and reconnect with themselves. And walk away more alive unto themselves.

Achilles Tendonitis>>> Today I treated three different patients with right-sided Achilles tendinitis.

When most people think of Achilles pain, they picture the tendon itself as the problem. But often, the story is a bit more complex. The Achilles tendon (muscle to bone; ligament = bone to bone) is influenced by the muscles that attach to it, particularly the soleus—a deep calf muscle that works hard every time we walk, climb stairs, stand, or run.

When the soleus becomes chronically tight, overworked, or isn’t functioning well, that tension can be transferred down into the tendon over time.

Acupuncture can be a wonderful tool for Achilles pain because treatment isn’t limited to the painful area itself. We can address the tendon, improve local circulation, and also work with the larger muscular patterns contributing to the strain.

One of my favorite things about this medicine is that it encourages us to look beyond where it hurts and ask why the body is compensating in the first place.
