🧴Picking the right sunscreen can feel overwhelming, but we have you covered. Here's what to look for:

☀️Broad-spectrum protection
Sunscreen that will protect against both UVA and UVB rays.

☀️SPF 30 or higher (SPF 50 preferred)
While no sunscreen blocks 100% of UV rays, SPF 50 provides an extra layer of protection.

☀️Water resistance
No sunscreen is waterproof, but water-resistant formulas help maintain protection while you're swimming or sweating.

Colin had just graduated college and was preparing to begin his career in engineering when everything changed. After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma of his femur, he faced a life-altering journey with difficult treatment decisions ahead.

Thanks to advanced surgical planning and custom 3D-printed cutting guides, our orthopedic oncology team was able to preserve not only Colin's limb, but also his natural knee joint. Using an innovative step-cut reconstruction and state-of-the-art nail and plate fixation, the team performed a successful surgery designed to maximize stability and support his recovery.

Join us in supporting patients like Colin, celebrating survivors and the healthcare teams who care for them, and helping raise awareness by wearing yellow and sharing your photos with

In 2027, Dr. Weiss will also assume the role of executive director of Northwell Health's surgery service line, succeeding Gene Coppa, MD, who will transition to chair emeritus after 18 years.
