Today’s event at Housatonic Community College was a success. If you weren’t in the room, you missed a great time! Thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff that helped to make this event one to remember.

Today is International Stress Awareness Day. Stress is unavoidable and plays a large role in the state of our mental health. It is a part of life, so completely avoiding it or removing it from our lives is not possible, but our ability to healthily manage stress determines our success in weathering life’s storms. So today I would like you to think about how stress is affecting you, and what you are doing to mitigate it. There are the well-known things that you can do, like diet, exercise, and rest; but I encourage you to find something that you can add to your routine that is specific to you as an individual. One of mine is being artistic. Whether it is making seasonal décor, coloring, or crocheting, I love an opportunity to engage in some arts and craft time.
