Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc.

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. We are an agency that believes in second chances and the ability of people to find recovery. The path to recovery is not one-directional.

Our empathetic, compassionate staff are dedicated to supporting people in their recovery. We believe that an individual must be motivated to help him/herself, but we also know that individuals need a close-knit system of human relationships to support them in this difficult process. Each of our programs incorporates this philosophy into the clients treatment plan. For this reason, SCADD offers a v

ariety of levels of care to support recovery continuity based on the appropriate intensity of intervention needed. No matter where you’re from or what your story is, we will work to help you find the best fit for your needs.

🏈 Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Cris Carter

Cris Carter is a former NFL wide receiver who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins during a remarkable 16-season career.

Along the way, he was named to eight Pro Bowls, earned two First-Team All-Pro selections, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013!
Following his retirement from football, Cris transitioned into media, serving as a studio analyst for HBO's Inside the NFL, ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, and Monday Night Countdown, and later as a co-host on Fox Sports 1's First Things First.

Drawing from his own experiences, today, Cris speaks about leadership, teamwork, and overcoming adversity, including his previous struggles with substance use.

🎭 We're honored to welcome Cris Carter as the keynote speaker for SCADD's 60th Anniversary Gala!

🍦 A sweet way to say thank you.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of treating our incredible SCADD staff to ice cream from Moovin Scoops as a small token of our appreciation for everything they do.

From supporting our clients to strengthening the communities we serve, our team shows up every day with compassion, dedication, and heart. We hope everyone enjoyed taking a well-deserved break, connecting with colleagues, and, of course, enjoying a delicious scoop (or two)! 🍨

Thank you to every member of the SCADD team for all that you do. We appreciate you today and every day! 💙

While today may be a little rainy, we’re looking back at all the sunshine that’s helped the gardens thrive. ☀️

Flowers are blooming beautifully, and we’re seeing a lot of cucumbers, zucchini, squash, and tomatoes growing! 🥒

🍽️ Yesterday, SCADD team members came together for another SCADD Night, volunteering at the New London Community Meal Center to serve dinner and connect with members of our community.

At SCADD, we believe recovery extends beyond the walls of our programs. Through opportunities like SCADD Night, our staff have the chance to give back, build meaningful connections, and support our neighbors.

💙 Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, compassion, and dedication. Together, we're making a positive impact and helping build stronger, healthier communities!
