I’m sharing a very different type of graduation picture today. It’s funny, I have several different pictures of caps and gowns from high school and two different colleges. Ironically, in some ways I’ve always been a little bit prouder of this particular accomplishment. 🤷♀️
🕉️This was my graduation day for my 200 hour yoga teacher training 11 years ago today. I did an intense program for six weeks one summer… We met every single day from eight in the morning till six at night. I was very fortunate to be able to do this because at that time my children were little and my family stepped in, so I could be gone all day during my summer vacation from my real teaching job, 3rd grade. I don’t usually share “big feelings” on social media anymore, but this picture struck me…sometimes you just need to take a chance, believe you can do something that seems crazy, manifest your dream. If you put in the hard work the universe mysteriously supports you . This took a lot of studying and the physicality of it was difficult and intense for a 48 year-old at that time. That said, I loved it… I never thought it would become my career, but it did. More importantly it helped me grow as a person spiritually, physically, and mentally.
Thanks for letting me probably over share my feelings this morning and hopefully, just maybe, it will encourage you to try something out of your comfort zone. Again, a big thank you to the 13 people I did my yoga teacher training with🥰… My wonderful instructors and especially my family for the support they gave me all those years ago.🙏🏻💖🕉️🧘🏻♀️
