My name is Chelsey, and I'm the mama of three amazing boys! I've been married to my wonderful husband for ten years, and we live in New Orleans, LA! I have always loved art and photography, and got my Bachelor's degree in fine art for California State University Northridge before getting my Master's degree in Art Therapy from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. herhood have pushed me into finding different ways to explore my artistic side. It is SO MUCH FUN to capture memories for families through photography. Whether it's first birthday cake smashes, anniversary shoots, "just because" family photos, or adoption and pregnancy announcements, I love catching the personalities and little big moments in life. I live for candids, and love to simply have fun in a session. I want to get to know YOU! Maddi and Preston got their gallery today and I'll tell you what... i was SO excited to send them. This is one of the SWEETEST couples/ families in the whole wide world and every single moment was a joy to be present in. Thank you thank you for trusting me with your day... what a gift!! I'm pretty dang proud of these too because after traveling out of state for this wedding June 20th, coming home on June 21st, packing, leaving San Diego and MOVING to Florida June 26th, an 18 day cross country family road trip, arriving in FL July 12th, and completely moving our family in... their gallery was not only on time but a day early. 🤣 brides- just a friendly reminder that as you search for a photographer, make sure you choose someone who TRULY does care and will move mountains to make everything perfect for you!! Capturing your memories is a heart project for me, and it's an honor every time you invite me to share in the most important days of your lives.

DON'T BOOK ME...
If you want posed, perfect, "stand still" photos. If you don't want to run, play, jump, and tickle. If you want your kids to stop moving. If you're afraid to get dirty, your hair out of place, or maybe a little kissed by the ocean. If the perfect family photo means everyone is looking at the camera. If you like being stressed out for those couple "Christmas card" photos. If you want to "get it over with".
But omgosh PICK ME if: you want to hang memories, not just pictures. If you want your kids and husband to say "wow that was actually really fun". If you want to send out holiday cards or frame pictures that make you say "we LOVED that day". If you're up for an intentional hour of family time. If you want your kids to be free to be themselves...
Then yeah. Book me. 😉

While I was in Washington last month, I got to be with some of my favorite people. 🥹 no matter how long it's been between visits, once we're together again it's like we haven't missed a day. Their family is growing again and I can't wait to see who this newest little person will be! ❤️❤️❤️

What can I even say?! Preston and Maddi promised each other forever yesterday and honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect. She got ready in her childhood living room. She and her best friend got their bouquets from the local farmer's market the day before. They said their vows in the back yard. Coolest part is that her parents live on an airfield in Washington. Their first look was on the flight line. Her first look with her dad? In front of their own plane. And Preston? Their dog Turbo was his best man. His sister officiated. Their head table... the bride, groom, and their parents. Her brother was the DJ. A family friend made the cake. They all decorated the hangar to hold their reception. Their wedding was everything a wedding should be. It was a celebration with friends and family, filled with love, and a focus on this incredible couple. May every wedding day be this sweet and special. Maddi and Preston, thank you *so* much for sharing your day with me. It was a JOY to be back in my beloved PNW for the weekend and you guys were the sweetest day on top!
