FYI Posting again because shared earlier didn't go through on Danielle's Fight Against Leukemia Page...

Hello again... Friends, family, prayer warriors, strangers, loved ones and everyone else in between!
I do apologize for being gone for a bit...
But we have been adjusting to life how it is, now.

It's been 4 months since I've posted anything.... it's been 4 months since our Dear Danielle's passing. 😇😥
We had to, of course, adjust to coming home without her, to planning her services- which was absolutely perfect 🥰 💞 and beautiful by the way...
( Disclaimer....While We always knew obviously, we had a child with cancer, and knew it was a possibility that she would die--- It just wasn't expected, that way or that day...)
We had to adjust to someone who plays with toys, requiring medical attention 24/7 (while we would absolutely do all over again if only possible) , still learning elementary things in life, still not minding being with Mom and Dad lol...
To no longer being physically present! 😭
That was also something sometimes life just doesn't prepare you for...

Well, We know where Danielle is and it was God's will to take her home that day. 🙏
We are reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Well, we know Danielle loved Jesus and she's right there in Heaven now, playing on streets of Gold in her whole healed body ✨️ no longer suffering from pain and is cancer free. Hallelujah!! 🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇
While we have had a few bumps in the road since her passing- we are doing pretty well considering. We rest in knowing by Faith, we will be reunited again with Danielle in eternity.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 says...
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

Along with everyone else who has been praying for our family, we too pray 🙏 for strength and the Lord has been Faithful in getting us through. Amen! We absolutely appreciate everyone's prayers 🙏 ❤️ from the bottom of our hearts 💕

We not only think about her all the time, but we are given certain little, "God Whispers" or signs from above, if you will...
I'll include a picture of a butterfly 🦋 that landed on Vincent Jr. in our backyard soon after we got Danielle's Urn ⚱️ home....
Backstory....My mom passed while I was pregnant with Danielle. My mom loved butterflies, Monarch butterflies to be specific. Everytime we'd see one Danielle would say look mom- it's your Mom....
Well the butterfly that landed wasn't a Monarch butterfly... this one was a Black Swallowtail... her favorite color was yellow 💛
It landed right on him.... 😇 👼 😇

Also, before writing this post, looked in my camera to see what we were doing a year ago today... this is the video from a year ago today. I remember recording this... 💕
I didn't remember we were watching the K-Love awards at home while I was recording.
Danielle would watch this repeatedly at MD Anderson... Now I understand why... 🏡 ❤️

I'd like to include we feel very grateful and blessed to not only to have been entrusted by God with Danielle's 9 short years here on earth , for the beautiful memories that will forever be precious 💖 but also for the promises of God that we will one day, see her again 😊 ❤️

***Update on Danielle***
Day 222 at MD Anderson was yesterday....

And with the heaviest of hearts 💔💔💔... Danielle lost her fight yesterday at 12:12 PM as the Adenovirus overcame her and multiplied by the millions. 😭😭😭 She fought long and hard and she is now eternally at rest wrapped in the Loving Arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! 🙏

She will be so very missed and brought such joy and light to this world 🌎 ✨️ 💛

We would like to thank everyone for their fervent prayers love and support and always cheering Danielle on! ❤️ She really appreciated it and always felt the love ---just as she gave it! ❤️

I am just getting back home and will make funeral arrangements soon. I will post about her services when we get them arranged.

***Update on Danielle***
Day 215 here at MD Anderson

Thank you all for your patience with my updates...
It's been a rough couple of weeks and we are still in the thick of it!! 😫 Often times very scary to say the least!! 😰

Danielle is currently still in PICU. It's been almost 3 weeks that we've been here. She's is still on oxygen 24/7 and having still a great deal of pain. Her whole back is the chief complaint about the source of her pain. She has been sleeping 😴 most of the days. She was getting up and playing a week ago but that has declined a lot since. 😢

We are supposed to get an MRI tomorrow to better see what's going on there. In addition to that, her CT scan last week suggested she has fluid on the left side of her brain 🧠 😳 We have been very distraught about that and will not know definitively what exactly is going on until this MRI - for now they are assuming it is Chronic Subdural Hematoma- which is very rare in children.
Please pray 🙏 it's nothing serious and that this MRI shows its minor and can be resolved easily!

She also has AKI or acute kidney injury caused by medication. Her kidney function was awful last week but seems to have improved since so praying that continues and she can recover from it 🙏

And the kicker.... the Adenovirus.
Danielle received the CTL'S (Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes) To combat the Adenovirus for her. It was part of a study. She was SUPPOSED to receive her 2nd dose on Friday. About 2 hours prior to the transfusion someone in that department decided she was no longer eligible for it?!?!?!?!?! What?!?!?!
She responded very well to it and the Adenovirus in her blood had went from 1.1 Million down to 44,000!!! So much progress and sounded like she would only need that last transfusion to rid it from her body.
It affects all your organs and is also found in her urine. Her urine count was down to less than 300 last week. Today it's back up to an astronomical 10 Million!! The highest in her urine prior was 1.2 Million.
We are still waiting for the latest results of her blood at this time - surely it's elevated as well since her urine has skyrocketed!!!

The doctors here are meeting with the Stem Cell team trying to get answers now. If she is ineligible now for the study, why? And she needs these CTL's or she will not be able to combat the Adenovirus on her own since she hasn't had an immune system for 8 months now.

Please pray 🙏 these people in charge of the CTL'S transfusion have compassion and get them to her even if she is no longer eligible for the study 🙏 😢 Otherwise, the outcome isn't going to be good. 😭

So, we need a LOT of prayers 🙏 right now and would greatly appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to do so. We believe in the power of prayer 🙏 ✨️ 🙌 ❤️ and believe that God can and will heal Danielle 🙏 🙌
