The event featured healthy habits & self-care education, spa experiences, supplies, and lunch giveaways. Access Health Louisiana provided educational health information about healthy food, nutrition, stress and promoted the Kenner Community Health Center primary medical care and behavioral health services. Louisiana Medicaid is changing, and there are a few things you need to do to stay ready.

Start by making sure Louisiana Medicaid has your current address, phone number, and email. You can update it online at mymedicaid.la.gov, by texting "INFO" to 72147, or by calling 888-342-6207.

From there, read everything that comes from Medicaid, even the pieces that look routine. Here are a few things that matter more than usual:
✅ Starting January 1, 2027, some members will need to meet new work or community engagement rules. Medicaid will mail details ahead of each renewal
✅ Healthy Blue members will get a letter by October 1 about choosing a new plan before November 16

Act before any deadline listed in your mail. Missing one could mean losing coverage, even if you are still eligible.
