A strong Gulf means a stronger Louisiana.

Great news for our state! The latest offshore lease sale drew 69 bids from 12 companies, covering more than 330,000 acres in the Gulf of America.

Consistent and predictable lease sales give companies the certainty needed to make long-term investments. Those investments support Louisiana workers, ports, shipyards, service companies and coastal communities.

Leaders from our state celebrated the momentum at this week's Gulf Coast Energy Forum hosted by Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.), which included Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA), Louisiana Oil & Gas Association, National Ocean Industries Association and Louisiana Future Energy. With generations of experience, a world-class workforce and the infrastructure to support offshore production, Louisiana remains essential to America’s energy future.

Louisiana energy does more than support jobs and investment here at home. It helps strengthen America’s ability to remain stable and secure in an uncertain world.

With Louisiana responsible for more than 60% of U.S. LNG exports and roughly one-sixth of the nation’s refining capacity, our ports, pipelines, refineries and offshore facilities have become strategic assets for the entire country.

Louisiana’s energy future starts with investing in the people who call our state home.

By introducing students in Ascension Parish to the evolving careers available in energy, industry leaders are helping the next generation see a future for themselves right here in Louisiana. These opportunities strengthen local families, support our communities and build the skilled workforce our state will depend on for years to come.

Because the future of Louisiana energy should be built by Louisianians.

Louisiana has the resources, infrastructure and skilled workforce to help secure America’s energy future. The question is whether policy will allow us to lead.

Opening new areas of the South-Central Gulf could support more than 133,000 American jobs, contribute $11.3 billion to the nation’s economy and strengthen access to reliable, American-produced energy.

Louisiana’s energy industry shows up for the communities it calls home.

As Presenting Sponsor of the Love Impact Coalition Free Health Clinic, ExxonMobil Baton Rouge helped provide free dental, vision and medical services to more than 500 Louisianians.

This is what meaningful community investment looks like: working together to remove barriers, expand access to care and support Louisiana families.

Louisiana continues to prove it is a competitive place to invest, grow and create opportunity.

The state ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 2 in the South Central region in Site Selection Magazine’s 2026 Prosperity Cup rankings. The recognition considers factors such as new and expanded facilities, capital investment, job creation, tax climate and workforce credentials.

With more than $61 billion in capital investment and over 9,500 direct new jobs announced in 2025, Louisiana is building momentum across the industrial, manufacturing and technology sectors.

Louisiana is positioned to play a major role in America’s growing liquefied natural gas future.

U.S. LNG exports are projected to nearly double by 2031, with Gulf Coast projects expected to attract approximately $1 trillion in investment across Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. Nationwide, the industry could support an average of 555,000 jobs annually while adding an estimated $1.4 trillion to the economy.

For Louisiana communities, this growth represents continued investment, quality jobs and new opportunities, all while helping deliver reliable American energy to our allies around the world.

When students can see science in action, complex ideas begin to click.

Through Rice University’s Tapia Project, Louisiana students are using hands-on models to explore how carbon capture and storage technology can reduce carbon dioxide emissions. By building and operating these models themselves, students can connect classroom lessons to technology being developed right here in Louisiana.

Programs like this do more than teach science. They introduce young people to the innovation happening in our state and the energy careers that they could pursue.

Baton Rouge’s economy is booming, and industrial investment is helping lead the way.

The Capital Region added 6,800 jobs over the past year, including approximately 6,500 construction jobs driven by major projects across the region.

These numbers show what major investment can mean for Louisiana: more jobs, stronger paychecks and new opportunities for local workers and families.
