I know this book has been thrown into the spotlight lately. It’s actually one of my favorites because good moms do sometimes have scary thoughts. Our “goodness“ is not determined by our health.
Pregnancy and postpartum are hard. Sometimes it’s really hard. Sometimes postpartum just needs to have a seat. We aren’t meant to do this solo. No family unit is meant to do this solo. We need community, support, and sometimes therapy and medications to help us through this big transition.
If you’re having a difficult time, are having scary thoughts, don’t feel like yourself, or are just in the trenches of postpartum and early parenting, there is support for you and you deserve to thrive.
Just like we tell our kids, look for the helpers. We are helpers and thankfully we have expert helpers in our community that can care for you and your family.
In the news and social media a lot of glib people have ugly words to share. They’re wrong. I am a three time postpartum survivor. I am so lucky to be here to care for you and/or help you find the care you need. This is a judgement free space. We are good moms. I know you’re a beautiful mother.
