May is EDS & HSD Awareness Month — a time to bring more understanding to conditions that are often misunderstood, dismissed, or oversimplified.
We’re honoring the EDS/HSD community and reminding you: your symptoms are real, your body is not “too complicated,” and care should meet you where you are.
Ehlers-Danlos syndromes are connective tissue disorders that can affect the joints, skin, blood vessels, organs, and overall body systems. Hypermobility spectrum disorders can also cause joint instability, pain, fatigue, and nervous system stress.
At Hands on Health, we support hypermobile bodies with care that is gentle, intentional, and rooted in the whole person. Through hands-on manual therapy, nervous system-informed treatment, breathwork, movement education, and strength-building, we help create more stability, ease, and trust in the body.
Our goal is not to force the body into change, but to help relieve tension, reduce flare patterns, improve mobility, and support the systems that may be working overtime to keep you together.
If you are living with EDS, HSD, hypermobility, or symptoms that feel difficult to explain, we would be honored to help you feel more supported in your body.
If this feels like your story, we’d be delighted to support you. Please call (504) 481-9688 to connect with Hands on Health.
