New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center (NOSHC) was founded in 1930. Our headquarters is located in Uptown, New Orleans.

Each year brings growth and expansion as we continue to be the frontrunner of speech and hearing centers in the New Orleans area. Our audiology services include comprehensive hearing testing and rehabilitation, including hearing aids for both children and adults. We also offer Auditory Attention Screenings, Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) Testing, and non-sedated Auditory Brainstem Response (AB

R) testing. Our speech-language pathology department administers formal and informal testing to address the following: articulation disorder, fluency disorder, voice disorder, expressive and/or receptive language disorder, social pragmatic disorder, language processing disorder, auditory processing deficits, phonological awareness deficits, and reading/spelling deficits. We also have satellite locations in New Orleans East and Metairie, LA. We have several staff members who speak both Spanish and English. Speech-language evaluations and therapy are available in Spanish and English.

Success In and Out of the Therapy Room

One of our amazing speech language therapy clients recently had her artwork featured in a local student art exhibit and even sold her painting! We love seeing our clients’ success both in and out of the therapy room.

She and her mother also surprised her SLPA, Lyn, with a handwritten note and a thoughtful gift.

Reading on grade level and ready for 2nd grade!

Celebrating an incredible milestone for this sweet client! After years of hard work in speech-language therapy and great family support, she is almost ready to graduate from services. When she first began, she had low intelligibility due to multiple phonological processes. Now, she is down to working on just /s/ and /z/ sounds in conversational speech. Her progress has been amazing to watch and her speech-language pathologist, Laura H., has loved witnessing every step along the way! 💙

We are thrilled to share that this was our most successful GiveNOLA Day yet! Thank you to our incredible community of 136 donors whose generosity helped New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center raise a grand total of $30,165, including a few offline donations.

Funds raised will support scholarships for individuals and families needing assistance accessing services, along with important building and infrastructure expenses that help us continue serving children and adults across our community. Thank you for believing in our mission!!
