If it’s been 4+ hours since your last meal, it’s probably time for a snack.

The goal isn’t to just grab something—build a balanced snack:
✔️ Protein to keep you full
✔️ Carbs for energy
✔️ Healthy fats

Easy snack ideas:
• Greek yogurt + berries + chia seeds
• Apple + peanut butter + Greek yogurt
• Cottage cheese + fruit
• Turkey roll-ups + pretzels
• Protein shake + banana + almonds
• Cheese stick + grapes
• Chocolate milk + berries
• Kefir + Walnuts
• Sourdough + cottage cheese + Carrots

Balanced snacks help keep your energy and support hormone health by preventing long gaps without fuel — All make it easier to feel in control at your next meal.

Because here’s the thing… if you skip that afternoon snack, your body is pretty good at making up for it later with those “eat everything in the pantry” cravings at night. 😅

Don’t overthink it. Pair 2–3 foods together, fuel your body, and keep moving.

Save this for the next time you have an early lunch, and know it’ll be a while until dinner ✨

WHO NEEDS STRUCTURE IN AUGUST 🙋🏼‍♀️

Instead of trying to change everything at once, pick one habit to focus on each week.

This month’s game plan:
✔️ Plan your meals the night before.
✔️ Start your day with a high-protein breakfast.
✔️ Don’t go more than 4–5 hours without eating.
✔️ Set yourself up for September by picking 3 go-to breakfasts, planning dinners, and grocery shopping with a list.

Small habits done consistently will always beat an all-or-nothing approach. By September you’ll be on top of it all 🤩🤩

Need help building a routine that actually fits your lifestyle? Send me a DM with AUGUST and let’s get you started.

Please tell me it wasn’t just me 😭😭

Turns out, nutrition is kind of the same. It feels overwhelming at first, but once you have a plan that works for you, it gets so much easier.

If you’re a sourdough lover and tired of overthinking what to eat, send me a DM with BALANCE and let’s simplify it 💪 (sourdough AND nutrition questions welcome 😂)

POV: a performance dietitian tells you where to actually throw your money 🤑

1️⃣ 40oz insulated water bottle (a cute one) — because you WILL become emotionally attached to it, and dehydration is out

2️⃣ Nespresso machine — the best coffee without the $7 daily habit. The math is mathing ☕

3️⃣ Grocery delivery — yes there’s a fee. It’s also the reason there’s actual food in your fridge after you’ve had a busy day (saving money on takeout)

4️⃣Glass meal prep containers — plastic ones are just out lol. You deserve aesthetically pleasing leftovers

5️⃣ A food scale — plot twist: 4oz of chicken is actually WAY more then you thought before measuring it. Use it for a few weeks and you’ll eyeball servings like a pro forever.

Your wallet AND your performance will thank you 🫡

12 weeks ago, she was skipping breakfast, drinking coffee all morning, and hitting a wall every single afternoon.
Tired all the time. Brain foggy. Not confident in the kitchen.

Her words now? “I don’t feel crappy and tired anymore. It’s steady energy all day. I sleep good. I feel good.”

Here’s what I love most about her story: she signed up because she was training for a marathon. But her biggest takeaway? The lifestyle change mattered more than the race ever did.

No extremes. No cutting out the foods she loves. Just consistent habits, real food, and a plan built around her actual life — work, training, and all.

And it didn’t take forever. She felt the difference by week 3.

If you’re constantly tired, running on caffeine, or feel like you’re doing everything right but still don’t feel your best — nutrition might be the missing piece. 🍽️

The biggest changes in my nutrition didn’t come from a strict meal plan or quick 2-week challenge.

They came from making small choices that were EASY to repeat.

Those habits don’t feel life-changing in the moment, but they add up over weeks and you begin to see sustainable results in months.

Big results usually come from tiny habits.

No need to change your whole life by Monday—just start with what you can actually keep up with.

✨ Sleep within an hour of your usual bedtime.
💧 Drink half your body weight in ounces of water.
📝 Plan your meals before the week gets chaotic.

Do them enough and they stop feeling like a chore, and start becoming part of the routine

Which one are you trying this weekend? 👇

current favs this summer as a dietitian ☀️☀️☀️

All have helped me to feel energized & satisfied, but i’m also just obsessed with all of them currently 😂

🍒 Cherries – packed with antioxidants, hydrating, and an easy snack (my fav night time snacky)

🍞 Sourdough before workouts – simple source of carbs that gives me energy QUICK - Perfect before a morning lift or run

🍊 Oranges – hydrating and full of vitamin C. Plus they just hit different when it’s hot outside

🥗 Sweetgreen Harvest Salad – It has carbs, protein, healthy fats, and veggies all in one meal. I constantly crave it but unfortunately live 2 hours away from one 😒😒

🩰 Barre classes – Such a fun way to switch up my workouts

🥣 Balanced yogurt bowls – Protein + carbs + healthy fats = a combo that actually keeps me full (greek yogurt + chia seeds + PB + honey)

🍦 Ice cream runs – because i love icecream and will never turn it down

☕ Coffee at home – saving $$$ & makes for a cozy morning

Summer doesn’t have to be boring & “clean”. So many things we already love are easy additions to our daily routine 🤩🤩🤩

What’s your fav summer snack right now???

The people who make progress aren’t perfect every weekend—they just don’t let one meal or night out turn into an entire weekend of “I’ll get back on track later.”

A few simple habits can make all the difference:
✔️ Eat breakfast.
✔️ Prioritize protein earlier in the day.
✔️ Stay hydrated.
✔️ Enjoy the foods you love without feeling guilty.
✔️ Get right back to your normal routine afterward.

Nutrition shouldn’t make you miss out. It should help you enjoy it while still making progress.

Which one do you need to work on???
