Parents, have you heard about the latest squishy toy trend? 🚨

A growing trend on social media involves microwaving squishy toys to make them softer—but this can be dangerous.

As Dr. Reena Mehta explains in her recent FOX 8 interview, squishy toys can become extremely hot and may cause burns if they’re microwaved. This same risk can happen if a squishy toy is left outside in the summer heat or inside a hot car, where it can heat up enough to burn a child’s skin.

Before handing a squishy toy back to your little one, make sure it’s cool to the touch.
