Our recent Nature Walk, a special offering as part of our Cancer Comfort Project, brought the group outdoors to learn about and spot New Jersey's native bird species, led by the wonderful Chris Neff. 🌿🐦

This week, we are packing period pouches through Fresh Start and volunteering at Toni's Kitchen in Montclair, while Healing Touch, Reiki, and Jin Shin Jyutsu continue for our patients and their families. Care that shows up in every form. ❤️

Sometimes healing starts with a blank page. Our new Expressive Journaling Workshop joins the week alongside Pet Therapy, Reiki, and Moves That Matter, while our Care Crew volunteers at the GRACE in Summit. Room to reflect, and room to give back. ❤️

Meet Wendy, one of our Reiki volunteers at Summit Health Cares. Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice that uses universal life force energy to bring balance and deep relaxation. Sessions are offered chairside during infusion or in our Mind Body Sanctuary. Fully clothed, fully comfortable, always at your pace. ❤️

Summit Health Cares is proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 Scholarships. This year, 44 students pursuing healthcare and related fields were selected to receive support toward their education, including two recipients of the Dr. Marcia A. Sherman Memorial Scholarship.

Each of these students represents the next generation of healthcare leaders in our community, and we are honored to help them get there. Investing in students today means investing in stronger, more compassionate care tomorrow.

Our Care Crew visited CUMAC: Feeding People and Changing Lives in Paterson to offer free blood pressure, BMI, and A1C screenings ❤️ Huge thanks to CUMAC for all you do to bring healthy food and essential resources to the community, and to our incredible Summit Health/CityMD volunteers, Bombas for donating socks, and CeraVe/L'Oréal for personal care products for our guests.
