The Patient Access team at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital got into the fall spirit with a pumpkin carving contest! Staff showed off their creativity, with the winning pumpkin paying tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What a fun way to bring our team together while raising awareness for an important cause!

Healthy aging starts with knowledge, connection, and community!

Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital was proud to participate in Healthy Aging Day at the New Rochelle YMCA, bringing our community together for important conversations about health and wellness.

Denise Velazquez, RD, CDN, CDCES, shared insights on the role of nutrition and lifestyle in healthy aging, while Dr. Jiyon Chung and Juliet M. Amato, LCSW, MSW, SIFI, led a breakout session to help families better navigate the healthcare system.

Rain, mud, and miles couldn't stop the runners at this year's Paine to Pain Half Marathon Trail Run! Our Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital Emergency Department team was on-site at New Rochelle High School, providing medical support to runners at the finish line. Despite the challenging conditions, our team helped keep participants safe and cared for throughout the event.

Thank you to our dedicated Emergency Department team, and congratulations to all the runners who conquered the course!

Four members of our clinical team at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital recently earned their Lean Six Sigma certifications: pediatrician Dr. Lisa Marrero; infectious disease physician Dr. Robert Goldstein; Linda Rosen, Director of Pharmacy; and Doreen Chiu, Assistant Director of Pharmacy. Congratulations on your dedication to excellence!

Lean Six Sigma is a specialized methodology focused on improving hospital processes, reducing care delays, maximizing patient safety. This training supports our team’s commitment to operational excellence.
