Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd

Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd LHGS is the largest employer in Eddy County with 150 employees, and many dedicated volunteers. Our economic impact is over $8,700,000. and many visiting areas.

The remodeling/renovation/addition project provides the residents with smaller 'communities' to live in. There are 5 separate dining rooms, activity rooms, spa's, kitchenettes, outside fenced in areas, small laundry facilities, etc. What was once the 'main dining area' is now a 'Vance Anderson Hall' where we have large gathering, music, birthday parties, receptions, etc. We have also added a beau

tiful reception/sitting area, a "Town Center'" which includes a movie theatre, beauty shop, coffee shop, gift shop, rehabilitative room, activity director office, and a resident care coordinator office . The 'business district' which was previously the southern part of "prairie' wing makes it more convenient for visitors to find who they need for business concerns such as: Administrator/CEO; Education/Safety/Infection Director; Maintenance/Laundry/Housekeeping Director; Director of Nursing; Nursing Assistant for purchasing & scheduling; MDS Coordinator; Human Resources/Payroll; Social Services; Billing; and Accounting.

A big “thank you” to the WELCA ladies at Bowden Lutheran Church for your special monetary gift for Rootbeer floats for our residents. It was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy our courtyard.
