The CDC still recommends masks be worn in healthcare settings, therefore we are still requiring masks be worn at all Volusia Medical Center locations.
This recommendation has not been lifted by the CDC so we are not lifting this requirement for our offices. If you refuse to wear a mask in the office, then you will be asked to step outside. You may wait outside for your appointment if you so choose but when you enter, you will be advised to put on a mask.
We have an obligation to try to keep our patients safe. We have many patients whom are immune compromised.
Telemed is also an option for some appointments.
We are all struggling through this pandemic and we appreciate all those whom don't bring hostility when you are asked to put on a mask. Thank you.
