It is an honor to have worked alongside the United States Military Academy at West Point and its Athletic Department for many years, providing EMS coverage and medical support to the outstanding cadets who represent our nation.

From athletic events to special activities, our team has been proud to stand ready whenever called upon, helping ensure the safety and well-being of those preparing to become the next generation of Army leaders.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing moms at New Windsor EMS!

Thank you for everything you do — not just for our agency and community, but for your families too. We know that for many of you, the day doesn’t end when you clock out at work… it just means clocking in at home. Between long shifts, sleepless nights, missed holidays, and the constant balancing act of EMS and motherhood, you somehow continue to give your all to everyone around you.

And today, we hope you get everything you deserve — hot coffee, uninterrupted naps, a silent radio, snacks nobody asks to share, and at least one trip to the bathroom without someone yelling “Mom!” through the door.

Yesterday, Chief Michael Bigg and Assistant Chief Shannon Cohn had the opportunity to meet with our County Legislator Matt Fascaldi to discuss ways to strengthen support for EMS agencies throughout Orange County.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective and collaborate in advancing resources and support for our county and neighboring EMS agencies.

During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we want to thank the men and women who answer the calls, gather critical information, coordinate responders, and keep crews safe every single day. While the public may not see you, your voice is often the first calm presence someone hears in their worst moment.

Your professionalism, dedication, and quick thinking make a difference on every call. From all of us in EMS, thank you for being the calm in the chaos and the lifeline between our crews and the community.
