Recovery is the rule — not the exception.

Bell’s Palsy has a strong natural recovery rate, and most patients regain full facial function without lasting effects. In fact, 70–75% recover completely, returning to baseline as if nothing ever happened. For the remaining patients, mild weakness, tightness, or synkinesis may persist — patterns that are well‑recognized and treatable.

What matters most is the timeline. If no improvement is seen within 3–4 months, clinicians begin evaluating for other causes to ensure the diagnosis is accurate and the right treatment pathway is in place.
