A special thank you to Kashif Jones for sharing such an impactful message during our Chase for Business Coaching for Impact graduation. One piece of advice that really stood out to me was the importance of planning ahead. As entrepreneurs, we can become so focused on what needs to happen today that we sometimes forget to prepare for where we want our businesses to be tomorrow. Planning, preparation, and having a vision for the next step are lessons I will continue to carry with me.

I also want to congratulate Kashif on everything he continues to build with Crabbae! 🦀👏🏾 For those who may not be familiar, Kashif is the entrepreneur and culinary creative behind Crabbae⁠�, specializing in seafood, pasta, wings and creative crab dishes. Crabbae currently has two New Jersey locations in Kenilworth and Maplewood, with the Kenilworth flagship offering brunch, dinner and catering.

It was wonderful celebrating this milestone alongside another entrepreneur who understands the determination required to turn an idea into something tangible. Back in April, I had the pleasure of meeting Magdala Noel at Flushing Town Hall during the Queens Tech + Innovation Challenge Finalists Announcement. I remember taking a picture with her to commemorate the incredible accomplishment of making it to the finals. To now know that she went on to WIN the Community category is absolutely amazing! 🏆✨ I'm so happy I was able to document a moment from her journey before knowing just how beautifully it would unfold.

Magdala is the founder of Hand in Hand Speech Therapy, where she is helping children and families access quality speech and language services while empowering children to communicate with greater confidence. Her work is a wonderful example of what happens when entrepreneurship is connected to purpose and community. I also want to thank the Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) and the Queens Tech + Innovation Challenge for creating opportunities that recognize, develop, and invest in entrepreneurs right here in Queens.
