Have you ever looked at your therapy appointment thinking, 'I have absolutely nothing to talk about… should I cancel?'
I get it. As founder of Psychotherapy for Young Women, I was just interviewed by VOX about this exact moment because it happens to SO many thoughtful Gen Z & Millennial women.
The good news? Those 'empty' sessions are often where beautiful things are quietly happening.
I wrote about it—come read + tell me if this resonates! 💕

Have you ever read a text five times and still wondered if you said the wrong thing?
Overthinking text messages in dating is incredibly common, especially for thoughtful, emotionally aware women. It’s rarely about the message itself. It’s often anxiety, attachment, and uncertainty colliding.
I wrote a new blog exploring why texting triggers such intense spirals and what actually helps you feel more grounded, without pretending you don’t care.
If you’ve ever felt your mood shift because of a delayed reply, this one is for you.
Read it here:

Overthinking text messages in dating? A NYC therapist explains the psychology behind dating anxiety, attachment insecurity, and rumination, and how to stop spiraling in a healthier, more secure way.

We often assume procrastination means we’re lazy or unmotivated. In reality, it’s usually emotional.

Anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and self-doubt can turn even healthy habits into something that feels heavy, loaded, and hard to begin. Pushing harder or shaming yourself rarely helps. Understanding what’s underneath often does.

I was recently featured in Self magazine talking about why our brains avoid the things we know are good for us, and I expanded on that conversation here, through a therapeutic lens.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, avoidant, or frustrated with yourself, this might offer a gentler and more honest way forward.

A therapist explains why procrastination isn’t laziness, how anxiety and perfectionism fuel avoidance, and what actually helps you start, without shame.

In therapy, we often see how young women struggle between who they are and who they think they should be. Inspired by a visit to Dia Art Foundation , I wrote about how art, and creativity helps us find language for authenticity, burnout, and self expression.
