An amazing final wheelchair clinic of the season in Fishkill at CPU's Day Hab program where we repaired and cleaned over 20 chairs yesterday.

Thank you to special guest Senator Rob Rolison who helped put some extra sparkle on both the chairs and our experience.

This World Cerebral Palsy Day, we celebrate the steps taken and pledge to continue creating accessible, accepting, and accommodating spaces for people with disabilities.

For 80 years CP Unlimited has provided leading care, supporting each person’s right to live with dignity, make meaningful choices, and participate fully in their community. Today, we reaffirm CPU’s abiding commitment to advancing our inclusive vision for all people.

The theme of this year’s commemoration—unique and united—reflects the CPU mission to empower people to achieve fulfilling, dignified, safe, and healthy lives while underscoring the need for us to collectively activate the power of our voices to advance impact and change.

Our success is sustained through the dedication and passion of our 3,000-strong CPU team and we recognize their help building a world without barriers. We also thank our families, whose advocacy formed CP Unlimited and continues to strengthen our efforts.

CPU is proud to foster hope and form wider networks to support people with disabilities. Please join us at upcoming events to help uplift the work of CP Unlimited or consider donating $8 to support our 80th anniversary; together, we will accomplish all we set out to achieve.

A second visit to the The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark for some of the people we support!

It is National Disability Employment Awareness Month! CPU celebrates, empowers, and encourages people with disabilities to take part in job training sessions and vocational placement programs!

Throwback to two weeks ago when we dedicated our newest space in Brooklyn dedicated to employing and educating people with I/DD:

"My day is both structured and open ended, familiar and surprising. It begins before I even arrive at work at a CP Unlimited residence in Brooklyn’s Flatbush neighborhood. I wake up thinking about the people I support and if they slept well and what they want to accomplish for the day. I might even remember that one of them has a birthday party to attend, and I’ll already be thinking about how much fun they will have."
