Thinking about an embryo transfer? Start with the timeline. 🗓️🤍

An embryo transfer is one step in a much bigger process, and the timing can look different for every patient.

Your embryo transfer treatment plan will be tailored to your individual medical needs and may include:

→ Medical history review and required testing
→ Preparation of the uterine lining
→ Ultrasound and hormone monitoring
→ Medication before and after transfer
→ Coordination of the embryo transfer date with the fertility clinic
→ Embryo transfer
→ Pregnancy testing and follow-up monitoring

For some patients, embryos have already been created and frozen. Others may be moving through IVF before reaching the transfer stage.

Your fertility specialist will help determine the approach and timing that fits your individual circumstances.

A diagnosis changes everything, but it doesn’t have to change your dream of becoming a parent. 💗

A breast cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, especially when treatment decisions need to happen quickly. Chemotherapy and, in some cases, radiation can affect ovarian reserve and future fertility.

That’s why it’s important to know your options before treatment begins.

✨ Egg and embryo freezing are established fertility-preservation options that may allow you to preserve your reproductive potential before starting cancer treatment.

In many cases, fertility preservation can be fast-tracked so you can move forward with your oncology care without putting your family-building goals on hold.

If you or someone you love has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, talk with both your oncology and fertility teams as early as possible. You deserve to understand your options and make decisions that support both your health and your future.

Your fertility journey is about so much more than medical appointments. Understanding your insurance coverage and planning for the financial side can help you feel more prepared for the road ahead.

With Open Enrollment coming up November 1–January 15, now is the time to review your plan and ask some important questions:

→ Does my plan cover fertility treatment?
→ What are my deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket costs?
→ Are fertility medications covered separately?
→ Are there prior authorization or other requirements before treatment?
→ Could changes to my plan affect my family-building plans in 2027?

And one important consideration for those planning a surrogacy journey: some individual health plans may not allow mid-year enrollment or changes based on pregnancy. Understanding your options before you need them can help you plan ahead and avoid unexpected surprises.

October is for preparing.
November is for reviewing and enrolling.
And 2027 can be about moving forward with confidence. 🤍
