When every pixel matters, advanced PET/CT can help physicians see more than structure alone.

Digital PET/CT combines metabolic imaging with CT anatomy, helping identify areas of abnormal activity that may be related to cancer, inflammation, infection, or treatment response.

At CPAI, our PET/CT program is designed around faster access, advanced digital imaging, and a private Manhattan outpatient experience — with next-day appointments available and reports typically delivered within 24–48 hours.

For patients and referring physicians, that means clearer information, faster coordination, and a more efficient path toward clinical decision-making.

Executive physicals are excellent at what they’re designed to do — measure function. Blood panels, cardiovascular markers, a stress test, basic vitals. But they don’t actually look inside most of your body. A normal lipid panel says nothing about what’s in your kidneys. An EKG can’t see your spine. “Everything came back clean” describes function, not structure. Some structural abnormalities — including certain small tumors, organ changes, or asymptomatic disc disease — may be visible on imaging before they appear on routine bloodwork or cause symptoms.

A standard physical measures how your body is performing. A full-body MRI captures the brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and major joints in a single appointment — typically around 60 to 90 minutes. No radiation, no IV for most patients. A 3T scanner uses roughly twice the magnetic strength of a standard 1.5T machine, which means sharper images in less time. The result is a broad structural baseline reviewed by a radiologist — not a replacement for targeted screening like mammography or colonoscopy, but a layer of information that bloodwork and a stress test simply can’t provide.

CPAI’s Wellness 360 program is built around a single appointment: full-body MRI on a 3T scanner, flat-fee, reviewed by board-certified radiologists with subspecialty training, with reports delivered within 48 hours. The goal is to create a structural baseline you can repeat year over year, helping patients make more informed decisions about their health.

Add imaging to your annual baseline. Book a Wellness 360 full-body MRI in Midtown Manhattan. Flat-fee, 48-hour reports, appointments seven days a week. Follow our blog for more information like this:

Myelomalacia is a serious spinal cord condition that can develop after injury, reduced blood flow, inflammation, or prolonged compression of the spinal cord.

It refers to softening of spinal cord tissue and may represent irreversible spinal cord damage. In some cases, it can be associated with symptoms such as weakness, sensory changes, paralysis, or bowel and bladder dysfunction.

Because myelomalacia can involve permanent neurological changes, early recognition is important. Advanced imaging can help identify abnormal signal within the spinal cord, assess the location and extent of damage, and support clearer next steps in care.

At CPAI, we evaluate myelomalacia with spine MRI using our state-of-the-art United Imaging uMR Omega 3T MRI system, designed to provide highly detailed images with twice the clarity of a standard MRI.

Depending on the exam, MRI may be performed with or without contrast to help provide a clearer look at the spinal cord and surrounding structures.

If you are experiencing concerning spine-related symptoms or want a deeper evaluation, advanced MRI may help provide important answers.

At CPAI, we combine cutting-edge imaging technology, experienced radiologists, and a patient-focused approach to support clearer answers and confident care.

Calcified lymph nodes are often found unexpectedly during imaging — especially on chest CT scans.

A calcified lymph node is a lymph node that has developed calcium deposits within the tissue. This commonly happens after the body has healed from a previous infection or inflammatory process. On imaging, these calcifications can appear as dense white spots.

In many cases, calcified lymph nodes are benign, inactive findings and may not cause symptoms. They can be associated with past infections, prior inflammation, or healed granulomatous conditions. Many people do not know they have them until they appear on an imaging study performed for another reason.

Chest CT imaging can help identify calcified lymph nodes and show their location, size, pattern, and surrounding anatomy in greater detail. This can help distinguish routine healed findings from areas that may require closer review.

At Central Park Advanced Imaging, our United Imaging uCT Atlas 640-slice CT scanner provides detailed cross-sectional imaging with exceptional clarity. With AI-optimized low-dose protocols, CT imaging can help evaluate chest findings while minimizing radiation exposure.

Not every calcified lymph node requires concern or follow-up. But when a finding appears on imaging, having clear, high-quality CT results can help provide better answers and greater peace of mind.

Learn more about CT imaging at CPAI and how advanced chest CT can help evaluate findings such as calcified lymph nodes.

Dizziness can feel different for everyone — lightheadedness, imbalance, spinning, unsteadiness, or feeling like the room is moving.

In many cases, dizziness may be related to common causes such as inner ear issues, dehydration, blood pressure changes, medication side effects, or other health factors. But when dizziness is persistent, unexplained, worsening, or keeps coming back, it may be time for a closer evaluation.

Advanced imaging can help doctors look beyond symptoms and better understand what may be contributing to them. MRI and CT imaging can provide detailed views of important areas of the brain, blood vessels, inner ear region, and surrounding anatomy — helping physicians identify or narrow down possible causes.

Imaging is not needed for every case of dizziness. A proper medical evaluation should always come first. But when symptoms remain unclear, advanced imaging may offer valuable information to help guide the next step in care.

At CPAI, we combine cutting-edge imaging technology, experienced radiologists, and a patient-focused approach to support clearer answers and confident care.
