Perfect practice every time.
I have to give credit my husband (and his AAU basketball coach) for this analogy, which hits home for all those who grew up playing sports. There are so many similarities between surgery and sports- the continual drive to improve your game, the benefits of coaching and reviewing your outcomes, the grueling hours of hard work behind each small victory…
I found myself at the AAFPRS workshop towards the end but asked to stay a little longer so that I could finish my model. This workshop came just in time before my next trip to Colombia with Healing The Children Northeast next month!
Big thanks to the faculty Jessyka Lighthall Linda Lee, MD, FACS Laura Hetzler MD, Lisa Morris MD, & Alyssa Ovaitt MD Dr Ryan Winters Dr. David Shaye and Dr. Anas Eid!
