Gracie Square Hospital was thrilled to participate in the NewYork-Presbyterian Quality in Care Symposium. Seeing the work across the enterprise was a powerful reminder of what's possible when teams stay focused on the patients we serve. Proud of our Weill Cornell faculty: Dr. Anjitha Radakrishnan, Dr. Christopher Yamada, Dr. Rebecca Breheney, and Dr. Smita Agarkar (Service Chief and Quality and Patient Safety Chair).
At its core, quality improvement is about turning data and frontline insight into safer, more compassionate care. Our posters on fall reduction on the older adult floor and behavioral plan interventions did exactly that. This work reflected a strong collaboration with our nursing colleagues, including Yan Chun Mui on the older adult unit, with special thanks to Brandon Saenz, DNP, PMHNP-BC and Alexandre da Silva, DNP, PMHNP-BC. We're also grateful to our psychology team โ Dr. Nadine Chang for her contributions to the behavioral plans poster.
The best patient safety work lives at the intersection of physicians, nurses, and frontline staff all pulling in the same direction. Our Quality team โ Kate Sherman, Stephen Hogan and Paul Rizza โ was proud to represent GSH and to champion that culture of continuous improvement every day.
With gratitude to our nursing leadership, Tim McGarvey, VP, CNO & Executive Director and Francine Fakih, DON. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Denise Leung and Dr. Baruch Fertel for their unwavering support of the Quality team at Gracie Square Hospital.
