What makes a great facelift?

It's not just lifting the face, and it's not tightening the skin.

I liken it to your bed.

You've got the sheets; you want them ironed, pressed, and fresh; you want a nice mattress you can sleep on, and you need a great frame for that mattress.

All three of those components need to work.

And once that's done, you can look at a bed or any structure and say, "That's pretty," or "That's beautiful," or "I like that."

The same thing with the facial structure.

To say that there is one way of doing surgery, it's like saying there's only one best car out there.

There are a lot of great cars.

Some people like Ferraris, some people like Aston Martin's; just as there are with plastic surgeons.

I have colleagues of mine throughout the world who I consider world-class plastic surgeons. I consider myself a world-class plastic surgeon.

What we have in common is understanding the patient, knowing the techniques and having the surgical skill to potentiate a great outcome for the patient.

What qualities would you look for in a plastic surgeon?

I don't believe in living by just one quote, but there are a few principles that have guided me throughout my career. The first is simple: aim high.

Another comes from Ralph Millard, one of the great pioneers of plastic surgery: "The enemy of good is perfect, but the bedfellow of good is mediocrity." It's a reminder that while perfection may never be fully attainable, settling for mediocrity is never an option.

That mindset shapes everything we do. Every procedure is approached with precision, intention, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the very best outcome for every patient.

There are plenty of books I've enjoyed over the years, but a few have truly shaped how I see the world.

Carlo Rovelli's Seven Brief Lessons on Physics and The Order of Time are two of them.

They're books about physics; but also about perspective, curiosity, and the human experience.

Fear of anesthesia is one of the most common concerns we hear from patients considering rhinoplasty.

The good news is that modern anesthesia is safer and more advanced than ever. When your procedure is performed in a AAA-accredited surgical facility by a board-certified anesthesiologist, every step is designed with your safety in mind. From comprehensive preoperative testing to carefully selected short-acting medications, your care is planned to make the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Your concerns are valid, and they deserve to be heard. That's why we take the responsibility of your safety seriously—so you can focus less on the procedure itself and more on the confidence you'll gain from your results. Our goal is to carry the burden of planning, monitoring, and protecting your well-being every step of the way.

New York City has always represented the highest standard of excellence, and it was the only place I could imagine building my own practice.

After training at Yale University School of Medicine and being affiliated with leading institutions like Mount Sinai Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, I knew I wanted to create a practice where every detail reflected my vision of patient care.

Opening my doors on Park Avenue was more than a career milestone—it was the beginning of building the experience I had always envisioned for my patients.

Facial surgery has always been the area of plastic surgery that challenges me the most, and that's exactly why I chose to dedicate my practice to it.

With a foundation in craniofacial surgery, I've spent decades refining the skills required to work with the face, where every feature is connected and every detail matters. The eyes, nose, lips, jawline, neck, and skin must all work together in harmony.

Exceptional facial rejuvenation isn't about changing how someone looks—it's about understanding balance, preserving natural beauty, and approaching every procedure with precision, artistry, and intention. That's the standard I strive to uphold with every patient.

Running has never been just a hobby for me, it's part of how I live.

For more than 19 months, I haven't missed a single day. I've run through rain, snow, heat, and across different continents. It started as a one-year goal, but somewhere along the way, it became something much bigger: a daily commitment to my physical health, mental clarity, and personal discipline.

Living in New York City offers another source of inspiration. With institutions like The Met, MoMA, the Guggenheim, the Frick, and the Whitney, I'm constantly reminded that excellence exists in many forms. Art has always been an important part of my life, and it continues to influence the way I see the world.

Whether it's running or appreciating great art, consistency and curiosity are habits worth cultivating.

One of the things I value most about my practice is being personally involved in every step of the journey.

From the initial consultation and surgical planning to the first incision, the final stitch, and every follow-up appointment, I believe consistency matters. Every decision is intentional, every detail is hands-on, and every patient receives the same level of care I'd expect for my own family.

Exceptional results aren't just about the procedure itself—they're about the experience, the trust, and the commitment behind it. That's what sets our practice apart, and that's the standard we strive to deliver every single day.

What I love most about cosmetic surgery is that it's art.

It's demanding, it's rewarding, but at its core, it's a creative discipline.

Some of my closest friends are artists. We speak the same language, that eye for proportion, balance, and beauty. It's about having the sensibility to help someone look their best, working with what they have.

We can make adjustments, sure, but the real work is artistic vision. That's the essence of what I do.
