Success isn’t just about making more money. It’s about protecting your peace, strengthening your mindset, and building a life that aligns with your values.

As a psychotherapist, I’ve seen that the healthiest businesses are often built by people who prioritize emotional wellness, healthy boundaries, self awareness, and intentional growth. Your mental health is not separate from your success. It is the foundation of it.

Invest in yourself. Continue learning. Ask for support when you need it. Build meaningful relationships. Take care of your mind while you build your future.

A thriving business begins with a healthy you.

🌿 Stress and anxiety are not the same, but they often show up together.

A certain amount of stress can help us stay focused, motivated, and prepared. But when stress becomes constant, it can overwhelm our mind and body, increasing the risk of anxiety and other health concerns.

The first step toward healing isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s recognizing what you’re carrying, giving yourself grace, and reaching out for support when you need it. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💙

Every interaction we have is influenced by one of three ego states: Parent, Adult, or Child. Understanding the P.A.C. Model of Transactional Analysis helps us recognize where our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors originate and how they impact our relationships.

The Parent Ego State reflects messages and beliefs learned from authority figures. The Adult Ego State helps us respond logically and objectively in the present moment. The Child Ego State carries our emotional experiences, creativity, and reactions from childhood.

When we become aware of which ego state is driving our responses, we gain the power to communicate more effectively, build healthier relationships, and make choices that align with our best selves.

Awareness creates choice. Choice creates change.

Spring is here and I am offering walk and talk therapy in Central Park. I am only accepting three clients for early morning sessions at this time. This is a great way to step outside, move your body, and work through depression, stress, and life challenges while talking with a professional.

We can walk, sit on a bench, and take in the beauty of the park while discussing your goals. You will still have your privacy and no one will know you are in a therapy session.

During the hotter months, sessions will shift to early morning telehealth.

If you are interested, let me know.

I gave this worksheet to a client. This client cracks me up. This person has anger issues!

This worksheet will help you understand how your emotions affect your behavior when you are upset and the positive things that you can do to feel more in control. Begin by thinking about the last time you were really upset. Perhaps you were angry at someone else, or perhaps you were upset about something you did and you felt guilty or depressed.

1 Describe the situation that made you feel upset.

Somebody talking💩 in my face!

2 Describe any external events that caused the situation.

Doing my job!

3 Describe anything you did that contributed to the situation.

Threatened to beat their a*z!

4 How did the situation make you feel both emotionally and physically? Be specific.

I was thinking how would I physically beat their a*z!

5 What did you want to do as a result of how you felt?

Really beat their a*z!

6 What did you actually do in this situation?

Told them I will beat their a*z!!

7 What did you want to say in this situation?

I said what I said!

8 What did you actually say in this situation?

You will mess around and find out!

9 How did your emotions and behaviors affect you later? Were you still upset?

I was pi**ed all day long because I wanted to beat their a*z!

10 Did you do anything at that time to feel better?

Thank God I thought of Renee because I wouldn’t have a job because if I would’ve beat their a*z and they would be in the hospital ! So I’m happy I still got a job.

This client is doing so well. You have no idea ! 😉☺️

I just learned about an hour ago that my neighbor has passed and my heart is so heavy. It appears she may have taken her own life and the pain of that is hard to put into words. I watched her grow up and she was one of the first associates I connected with when I moved into this building. She came to my little dinner gatherings in the beginning and we would talk until her mental health began to decline. As her struggles grew more severe she withdrew and stopped speaking to anyone. I felt for her deeply, but I also kept my distance. From time to time I would try to talk with her, hoping to reach her, but she never could bring herself to open up.

This loss is heartbreaking and my soul aches for her mother. It is also a reminder of how fragile mental health can be and how important it is to seek help and stay connected. Please, do not be afraid or ashamed to reach out for support. None of us should carry pain in silence. May she rest in peace and may her memory encourage us to treat one another with compassion and understanding.

Happy Thursday everyone. Today is not just any Thursday, it is the last Thursday of September and that is a blessing within itself. Let’s pause to give thanks to God for allowing us to see another day filled with new opportunities, strength, and grace. May your day be safe, peaceful, and full of positive energy. No matter what challenges you face, remember that gratitude and faith carry us through. Take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and thank God for the gift of today.
