What if the struggle in your relationship isn’t about love—but about capacity?
When healthcare, chronic illness, caregiving, and the invisible labor surrounding them become part of a relationship, depletion can easily become personalized.
You don’t care enough.
I’m carrying this alone.
I should be able to do more.
You should have more to give.
But capacity is not character.
It is information about what our bodies, our lives, and our relational systems can hold in this moment.
When we can name what is available, we have a better chance of responding to one another with clarity, honesty, and care. Discovering what is possible together.
This is relational resilience.
